Hello everyone!

I thought I'd introduce myself! My name is maddie. I'm 24 and I live in Dublin. I've struggled with my weight my whole life. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 16. I've had a really tough couple of years and I (in vain) attempted to lose weight during those hard times but I had to realize towards the end of last year that I needed to take a break from beating myself up about my weight and take some time out to work on the rest of the things in my life that were holding me back. I have to say it was one of the best decisions I've ever made and I'm happy to say I feel so much better than I did last year and I feel like for the first time in my life I'm truly ready to make weight loss my priority.

I'm not doing any plan in particular. I've tried weight watchers as a teenager and any other time I counted calories. It made me a little crazy everytime and I'd overly obsess about the numbers and the scales so this time I'm just taking a healthy eating approach with as few processed foods as possible. I'm going to do junk free clean eating for 30 day. I just feel like I've been sat on the couch for the last year eating chocolate and may as well have had a bottle of pepsi max hooked up through an iv at all times and I need to just cleanse myself a bit. It won't be wildly different after that but I will from time to time treat myself.

I don't want this to be horrible. I don't want to hate it or dread everyday. God forbid I'd even like to enjoy it. If there's anything I've learnt from my struggle for the last few years it's that you've got to find a way to enjoy the journey or the destination is useless.

I had a small victory today. I haven't weighed myself in about a year when I stopped losing weight last. I was expecting to have gain 10 or 20 pounds. I only gain about 3! I was gobsmacked!!

Anyway I'll stop rambling now :)

I'm looking for to getting to know lots of you!!
