Hi everyone,

This is my first time using a diet forum and wanted to use it to get hints and tips on weight loss.

I currently weigh 10st9 and want to weigh 9st2 as a primary goal.

I'm doing a sugar free/processed free diet to not only help lose the weight but improve my mood/energy levels. Im a midwife who works long shifts and constantly snacks on chocolate/energy drinks as I'm too busy for a proper break. Hoping this lifestyle change will improve my overall health. I'm also planning on fitting 2.5 hours of exercise a week - running, badminton, cycling (as part of my commute) and pilates classes.

Really interested to hear if anyone has done something similar and has any reviews of it. Or if anyone has a good website/book/meal plans to offer me advice from!

Thanks in advance!

Hey:)

So I haven't done a huge amount of non processed foods but currently doing a diet plan based on a insulin resistance diet which calls for a cut back on refined sugars and synthetic sugars, and it has made SUCH a difference to my energy levels ! I stay clear of all sugar foods and try limit my synthetic sugar intake to one teaspoon in a cup of coffee a day. I try drink two veg juices a day mainly carrots spinach and lemon with a few other things and at first I thought they were going to be disgusting ? but they are divine and give you sooo much energy !

I was big into sugary drinks for energy and I promise it's possible to have energy without loading your body with refined processed sugar
