Hi, I am new here and nervous. I need to lose weight and I feel ready to take the plunge but not sure how. I'm a comfort eater. I've got a couple of health issues but nothing that's an excuse.
Anyway, hi and I was going to slimming world this morning but thought I'd come here too after a bit of lurking.

I'm new to the forums too and also just started slimming world! Hope you settle in alright. It's natural being nervous but I'm sure you will be fine!
 
Sorry to hear bout your eldest, hope you're all ok. Yeah it's amazing, I don't profess to be an expert but basically reducing things like bread, cheese milk etc. you can have you're snacks if you need them, however you have to syn them. Rice pasta and much much more food is free. I prefer to fill myself up on free food than syn something. I've done it for over a week and my first weigh in I lost 9 1/2 lb. I'm not saying everyone will lose that or that it will be consistent, but it works :)
