I am really struggling with my willpower and motivation at the moment.

I wake up one morning and I'm like YES i'm going to get back into it, and then by the evening I have slipped up.

I'm ok when i'm at work but as soon as I come home and i'm sitting in front on the telly, I go to the cupboard and start eating and then that's it. I can't seem to find any motivation to exercise either.

Does anyone have any tips or has experienced this also? Once i'm back into it after a couple of days i'm fine, it's just the first couple of days of TRYING to get back into it xx

First thing remember how hard it is to get back in it and use this next time your in full flow and might give up.

My only advice to get back on it is to rid house of the rubbish , plsn n shop fir your fave sw meals whrnever im having a wobble i have a sw risotto or pasta there my comfort food that i have as an on plan treat, go to bed early and talk yourself through every meal and craving and by day 3 I think ull be back on track :)

Get rid or if you don't like waste, hide those foods which are taking you away from SW. Get yourself some yummy low syn treats for the eves in front of the tv, I'm not sure what you like to eat but how about saving hexb & having aplen lights, ryvita crunch, or just toast, or pink n whites are only 2.5 syns (I think), take look at the diaries on hereon here & see what other people snack on in the eves.

Or take up a hobby such as knitting, crochet, card making so you keep your hands busy.

Planning! That's what's needed. Filling meals for when you get home, use a slowcooker, or something easy to prepare eg the cowboy hotpot in this months mags. You could use some time to cook ahead and freeze. Go for a walk instead of sitting in front of the tv? Save some syns, or an healthy extra so you can have something to nibble on. I know it sounds odd, but I like my HE of weetabix crunchy bran as a snack at night. It takes ages to eat them dry one at a time. :). It sounds more like boredom than anything else.

Thanks everyone! So many replies and good advice! I have never thought of hiding/getting rid of all the treats in the house. That's my main downfall because I'm fine at work and eating a SW dinner. I have the 30 day shred and once I've done it once I usually find it easy to get back into it, I think it's the thought of coming home from work and shoving the DVD on and getting into my leggings and baggy t-shirt that puts me off. If I lay it all out for when I get home ill be more up for it I think. Ill start a new food diary on here tomorrow and get back into it, got loads of motivation now!

Slimmingforgood - do you have a food diary? I think that's a great idea to encourage each other. I do it online so I don't get the encourage from image therapy etc :( xx

I like sugarpuffs & choco shreddies to snack on in the evening, both are hexb ;)

I have that DVD and its hard!! I always feel amazing after I've done it though! Good luck!

I rejoined two weeks ago and struggling to get back into the swing of things but just try to keep your target in mind. All because you had one bad day doesn't mean you have to have a bad week, we all struggle from time to time keep positive and active :) xx
