I did slimming world red days and lost 5 stone + since then over 3 years and giving up smoking settling in to a new relationship I have put on 3 stone so have gone back and it's all changed to extra easy so thought wow can eat all that and still loose so I hit it with determination. I stuck to the diet wrote it down filled up on super free had my healthy extra and about 12 syncs Max a day. First week lost 2.5 disappointing as I knew I could do more but thought not to worry body has to play catch up so carried on as first week drank water instead do coffee as much took picture diary of meals basically hand on heart stuck to it 2nd weigh in and I put on a pound I was gutted how could this happen so cut back on the carbs and went back to red and lost 2.5 but am gutted EE is working for all but not me is there such a thing as intolerance to carbs coz I can't see what I did wrong I am so disappointed advice please :confused:
 
Hi, I'm the same. On my first week I did EE and lost 2lb and was disappointed. I'm adding a few more green days this week and see how it goes. I also noticed I was constipated the first week so am having more fluid. Will see how it goes at weigh in this week. Sorry I can't be of any help cos I'm in the same boat!
 
Sorry to hear EE didn't work for you :( to be fair though- I only lost 2 pounds for my first two weeks (and at 20 stone, that's nothing!) but my second month I had a 4lbs loss one week and a 5lbs loss another! It was my first time on SW though and I wasn't having many syns or HEX's in my first weeks as I got into it, so it might have been just a learning situation.

I have heard from a couple of diaries on here that some people just can't lose with the carbs and stick to Red days, but most seem to do well on EE so it might be worth trying it a bit longer and throwing in some Red/Green days too...
 
It doesnt work for everyone. If I do an entire EE week, i can guarantee i will gain at the end of it, happens everytime. But if i mix red, green and EE i do a lot better.
