Help with curry!

Please could anyone tell me how i can get my curries to thicken, i have tried to make a curry and it was so runny, what can i do to thicken it?

Ive used the slow cooker and stove recipe  im so rubbish!

If my curry's looking too watery, I just turn up the heat for the last ten minutes and let some of the water simmer away.

Remember that you can always plate up the curry with a slotted spoon! :D That way you leave behind some of the liquid. (Then, you can either discard the liquid - or, better, turn the heat right up and it will reduce pretty quickly.)

Adding some red lentils to a curry at the start of cooking will help to thicken it, as they naturally soak up excess liquid. Makes a nice thick sauce.

We use onions finely chopped in the blender.

I whizz my onions/garlic/ginger in the whizzer as it brings the flavour out and makes the curry less lumpy. Fry those for 5 min, then I add all my spices which, as they are powdery, also thicken it up quite a bit. Bit of tomato puree, coupla stock cubes, all helps. :)

Potatoes and lentils as other people have said also good thickeners.

If you put chick peas with it and remove and mash a couple of table spoons of them just before serving that will thicken it
