Here's to a slim graduation in November!

I've received my packs today and having tasted the mealpacks and chocolate bar, I am utterly shocked by how great the taste and texture is!!

Having tried other VLCD's (this is actually a switch from my latest one) and finding it difficult to down day after day with limited choices, horrible textures and mediocre flavourings, I am extremely thrilled to have found Slim and Save and at half the cost, what more could I ask for?

Just realized I must sound like marketing or PR for the brand - hehehe

But seriously, I am not easily impressed but I have to say - so far so good :)

I'm hoping to keep up this diary as I work toward my ambitious but not impossible goal weight of 145lbs. I recently qualified as an Accountant and although very proud of this achievement, it would be great to attend my graduation ceremony in November 100lbs lighter, 100% fitter and all the more happier having achieved this goal.

So here's to a year of achievement and my journey to the new me!

lost 9lbs this week as it was a fresh start, I know the coming weeks won't be that much loss but anything is better than nothing and I have to remember that. I read someone's blog last week and it mentioned identifying your strengths and making them work for you while on a vlcd. unfortunately, consistency and committment are not my best traits as I get bored quickly. So - - for this to work for me, I have to keep myself constantly informed of all the benefits - health, confidence and otherwise that a healthy weight and lifestyle will bring. I will have to constantly motivate myself to work towards my goal and envision the new me and how much better my life will be on the other end of this tunnel. I have a 16 month old son who is extremely active and I know that I am going to have to be physically fit to keep up with. I will be less tired and have more energy for all the trips to the parks and playgrounds that have become a big part of my life now. To aid in this journey, I have purchased a zumba kit so that I can exercise at home. I am a single mom and time to go to the gym as I would like is near impossible, so I decided to bring the gym home to me (I also bought myself a powerplate :) my new "home gym" arrives tomorrow and I am so looking forward to dancing around in my living room with my little one, knowing that I'm not robbed of spending anymore time with him. I work very long hours in my current role - more than is fair to both me and him and thus, finding a new job has become a part of the journey too. Too much stress at work and too long hours has led to poor (fast-food) eating habits because getting home at 10pm left me too exhausted to cook! constant stress and constant picking at the custard creams at my desk - but I am not blaming my weight problems on my job/ employers/ boss - I should have thought about what I was doing to my body with a clearer mind. I need to make sure I start making decisions and not just following old/bad/poor habits. I need to be more conscious of my actions and how they affect me and my body. I need to practice control - self control... hmmmm....

week 2 on slim and save and another 4.25lbs down, which is great because i've "budgeted" 3.5lbs weight loss per week (with a couple of lbs allowances per week since it goes up and down) to get to goal by 25th November. Started my Zumba and vibration/power plate on Friday morning - it's going well, having fun with zumba - i love latin music and i find the vibration plate surprisingly exhausting... I must say all the options on this vlcd is making it a whole lot easier! :)
