Hello everyone!

My name is Sarah and I'm new to the forum - I came across it quite randomly when trying to find the syn value of dairylea on Google! I've had a bit of a nosey around and am amazed at the awesome recipes, support and general upbeat-ness of the forum! So I decided to register!

I'm 27, and live in Sheffield with my husband. I've never been particularly skinny, my lowest weight was around 5 years ago and a size 12-14. However, since meeting my now husband, and becoming "content" I've put on a bit of weight and am now a 16-18. We are off on our honeymoon to Disneyworld in September (we got married in March) and so I would love to lose some weight for when I go away - so I look and feel better.

I recently tried Sainsburys diets, and managed to lose 7lb but I think I have most probably put this back on as I've fallen off the wagon a little bit. Having looked at Slimming World, I *think* this is probably going to be the better plan for me - I love my food and am not particularly great at calorie counting - and I really get miserable if I feel hungry. So, I'm going to try the 7 day taster menu plan for the next week and see if I lose anything!

If anyone has any tips, tricks or general info they will be very much appreciated! Looking forward to getting to know you all :)

Hey Sarah! Just wanted to wish you luck on your new journey! You'll do fantastic, the first few days are the hardest so make sure you keep your schedule super busy so you wont be thinking about food! & Drink lots of water, its curbs hunger :)

Minimins is a fantastic website, so much support!

You can do it! :D

Aww thank you :) Yea, I have bought plenty of bottled water to take to work with me :) I don't like water at all, but know it will help in the long run! I'm not taking any money into work either so I'm not tempted by snacks etc :)

Tonight I'm going to prepare a pasta salad to take to work with me - fingers crossed by the middle of the week I won't be craving cakes!! Ha! :)
