Hi - just wanted to say hi to all the calorie counters.
I'm new here and am using myfitnesspal to track my calories.
I've lost a lot of weight before on ww - but they've changed all the points since I did it and I just don't have the energy to relearn them all again.
I'm doing well on the cc and am very motivated at the moment.
I know that I will need to extra support to get through Christmas so I thought that there would be people in a similar situation here.
My weight gain this time is totally due to work/ life with 2 small kids stress and I'm finding that running is really helping.
So is there any running buddies out there??? Looking forwrad to talking with you all.

Welcome!

We have a lot of similarities I've got 2 little ones, a job and I fit in the gym where I can one of my faves being the treadmill. I did start the c25k but my knees wouldn't take it so I'm jogging and building up to hopefully running properly without probs soon!

How ave u done so far and how much have u got to go? There's a few Xmas challenges on here also talking about their plans over Xmas so do have a good read! I'm hoping for another 7lb by Xmas then ill have a few days off!

Good luck xxxxx

Thanks a lot LadyJo - Ive lost 8 pounds since the start of Nov and am aiming for 1.5 stone more.
I really wanted to start now rather than waiting until Januaury to find out that I had 3 stone to loose instead. I figure if I can get through Christmas without going mad then I really have changed my attitude. (I am going to allow myself some treat days - just not all 12 days of Christmas.)

Thats a pity about your knees - hopefully as the pounds drop you'll get some relief and will be able to start it again. I have found that even my 8 pounds has made a big difference
BTW - a physio told me if you can strengthen your glutes (bum) and back of thighs that it will take some pressure of your knees when running.

I am quite overweight so hoping going gradually rather than working too hard and building fitness will help. I've been on the machine at the gym that works your thighs and bum you like squeeze your legs together then change it to push them apart, don't know what it's called but I could feel it in my bum lol.

That's the good thing about this way of eating and losing weight it teaches u so much about how much cals are in food. I've done ww but I think too much is put on eating low point foods and with an allowance of 40 I would still have half left and use them on chocolate or crisps at night! I'm splitting my 1500 to 500 per meal it really has changed my lifestyle and it has become second nature. This is the only diet I've actually stuck with this long and most weight I've ever lost!

Good luck sweet and hope to see u on a Xmas challenge xxx

LOL LadyJo - I used to do the same on ww - but I was younger and used to save most of my points for alco
