Hi curvy, I suppose it depends on how major the op was and how you cope with anaesthetic - it takes a good week for my daughter to recover. So it's not surprising you feel weak and tired, this diet does that to you for the first week or two anyway. If you're convalescing and can sleep whenever you need to, then maybe starting now is a good idea - I started while staying home with my daughter for a fortnight after her last operation and at least I didn't have to worry about being tired at work or not coping. Let your body guide you and don't overdo it honey. There's plenty of time to start dieting when you're well. :) xxx

Thankyou i think il try sticking with it and just sleep it off as and when  like you said this means so much to me and thankyou i need all the sopport i can get i really appreiciate it my spellings dreadful  i did it chicken and lettuce and baked beans tonight i just try harder tomorrow thankyou :)

That's ok curvy, you'll find lots of advice and support on here. I couldn't get through my darker days without these guys :) And browsing/posting helps keep my mind off food in the evening! Anything you want, ask away dear... xxx

Hi, curvy.

Your body needs good nutrition for a few weeks following surgery to promote the healing process, if you have to few calories it will take longer to recover and make you prone to post op infections. If your feeling unwell then maybe leave it another week or so. It doesn't stop you eating really healthy with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and lean protein to get you healing and well. Hope this helps?

Good luck! Xxx

Very good advice. Better than mine! Lol. x

Only if they haven't got citric acid in. Coke zero is a recommended one but I believe there are a few supermarket fizzy drinks that are ok too - not sure which tho.

I personally am in love with m********ns diet cream soda! Has no citric acid in it and is very refreshing in this heat!
