Hi .. newbie to SW ... and I don't really understand the Extra Easy Plan .. help !?

Hi all,

I am a newly on SW and as you can see, I have quite a way to go, having lived it up for the past several yrs !!!

Little stuck re the new extra easy plan ... ( I did SW a long time ago, when it was red and green - so can't get my head round how you can have say a steak AND a jacket potato on one plate, along with the super free food) .....

As I am so engraned with the red and green days, I just can understand how this works ... anyone able to explain it for me !! (just ordered a SW EEPlan plate off ebay too, to help me to "get it" !!

I know that everyone raves about it, so really want to give it a go, but afraid that I'll get it wrong and put weight on instead :confused: !!!

I've been doing EE for 6 weeks and have lost 1st 3lb but still have 6stone to go :-/

I'm a picky water but I find EE so, well, easy! The science behind it confuses me but it honestly works. A couple of tips for you that have helped me massively are;

1. The 1/3 plate of super free helps portion control, fills you up and is obviously good for you. Sometimes I struggle with the veg but make sure I leave a 1/3 of my plate empty and then have the equivalent in fruit afterwards so I don't have too much of the free or synned foods.

2. Weigh your HEX! Cereal was such an eye opener for me I was clearly eating double size portions pre SW

3. If you're hungry - eat! If you can go for fruit/veg as your first choice then great but if not don't go hungry. Find something to satisfy you.

4. Use your syns! The weeks where I've eaten fewer I've had poorer losses. I aim for 10 a day be it a glass of wine or some chocolate or crisps. Syns keep things normal for me so I don't feel too much like I'm dieting

5. Plan! I plan a week's menus (I work shifts so it's really important I plan) and buy those things and stick to it.

I hope this helps, trust in the plan and you'll get results. There is nothing wrong with doing a combo of EE, green and red if that helps to settle you into the plan.

Good luck with it, it's a cheesy line but if I can do it anyone can!
