Hiiii I'm a newbie to this forum.
I would update my profile but I can't due to being on mobile.
I'm 18, started January 3rd with weight watchers and managed to get from 15st 11lb down to 14st 7lb in a matter of months. Infact, I've been stuck on 14st 6 3/4lb for 3 weeks.
Now, I know this sounds weird but I weigh more than I look. My mums the same, if she ever tells someone their weight they don't believe her, much like me. In clothes size I'm 14 or 16 for dresses and tops and 18 or 20 for bottoms (due to my large bootay and thunder thighs).
I exercise regularly (Zumba and running) and have now changed to calorie counting with MFP and am on 1300 a day. I managed to lose half a pound this week but I'm on a bit of a downer as I've gone from losing +2lbs a week to nothing or hardly anything

Any tips on what I can do differently?
Thankyou for reading this essay type post :p

Hi georgiajorja, Well done for the previous weight loss!! I tried weight watchers, well, ive tried every diet under the sun and none have worked until cambridge diet. I don't think i'm familliar with MFP??
If you're wanting a quick weight loss i would reccomend the cambridge diet over any other diet. It's so easy and effective. The only problem is that for the sole source step 1 it is over £40 a week, but you don't have to buy any other food. For me and my boyfriend it works out at about £100 a week for us both to do the diet (im on 3 packs a days and he is on 4) and we were spending £75 ish a week on shopping plus a few bits here and there throughout the week and takeaways so it probably works out a bit cheaper for us.
If you want to carry on with the calorie counting a realistic calorie intake for you to get all your vitamines and minerals is 1500 kcal a day (so i've read) but that would be a slow weight loss. Having said that, a slow weight loss is often easier for keeping the weight off so both diets have their good points :) and if you're going to the gym as well, then the weight loss may be increased but don't forget you build muscle and muscle weighs more than fat :)
I did calorie counting a few years ago before a holiday and for the first 2 weeks i lost a pound the first week then gained it back the second week?! but after that i was losing 2-3 lbs a week which is good but nothing compared to the 17lbs ive lost in 2 weeks on cambridge.
Good luck with your weight loss and let me know if you want any other information about the cambridge diet :)

Hi Georgia,
I'm also new to this site and am hoping to start the Atkins diet soon. Mainly because I know it works for me & I'm a type 2 diabetic. Also I'm not really into the calorie counting side of things. (found that there is always things you 'forget' to count!!) I need to take all my measurements & weigh myself, but I know i have to lose around 4-5 stone. Not really much help I know, but just wanted to say Hi & this looks like a really friendly site. Keep up what your are doing, i'm sure it'll start to move soon. Good luck with everything. Kazza. x

I've tried Slimming World (old style), Rosemary Conley (good for the exercise classes), Atkins, Cambridge Diet, Weight Watchers, LighterLife, fruit only diets,Slim Fast, prescribed diet pills (they were fun!) & all sorts of stupid crash diets. I seem to be a serial dieter!!! I was dragged to a different SW group by my sister-in-law 18 months ago & was amazed at the Extra Easy addition. It is the perfect diet for me & although I fell off the wagon so to speak for a few weeks I've still lost 2st 9lb. It fits in perfectly with my lifestyle & my eldest son who's 23 had ballooned since he went to uni. Because I refuse to cook anything else other than SW meals he started to lose weight & that motivated him to start exercising & now he's 4st lighter & very trim. I think it's important to use a diet that is right for you so whatever one you all choose, good luck

I agree there is no all size fits all diet. I have moved from a vlcd to sw because , although I lost okay on the vlcd it was not teaching me anything about healthy food. SW will do that. I do however have to be careful about portion control on it as potatoes and pasta are not really my friends :)
