Home made Cottage Cheese

Hi
Does anyone know how to make cottage cheese.
I have been told that it is skimmed milk and lemon - this must be using the H/E 'a' milk - is this correct

You can heat the milk up and then use vinegar or lemon and salt to separate it into curds and whey which give you cottage cheese, but you'd have to syn/HEX the milk etc so you'd be better off getting cottage cheese from the supermarket that's already syn free tbh.

This is what I don't get with SW.
If skimmed milk (0.1% fat) is limited, then how can fat free cottage cheese be free (and therefor unlimited) if it's made from it?
Same with mullers etc.

The logic of SW eh

Although to be fair I imagine its just because they've got to have a standard structure that the majority will find easy to follow, and the majority to be honest aren't going to make their own cottage cheese/yoghurt etc. I just use my common sense and if I want it and think its healthy Ill have it (eg the labneh recipe or using polenta for free or whatever).

PS although with the milk thing I think it does make sense, as a lot of milk would be easy to consume (you could easily just drink litres of it and pile the calories in) so they have to set a limit - whereas tbh that ain't gonna happen with cottage cheese, however much you like it ;)

I detest cottage cheese with a passion anyway :D

Not with cottage cheese maybe, but I've been known to scarf down all 6 pots from a muller multi pack in one day.
