Hi everyone and a happy new year!
So unlike most people I have been trying to lose weight half heartedly for a very long time, its not just a new years resolution.
I have tried to do it alone and not through a club as I want to make a change for good and make sure its healthy and nothing forbidden as i will just want it more, but its time to face the fact that I just dont have the willpower to do it. So it seemed like fate when a Slimming World leaflet was put through my letterbox - a class is starting up literally in the church hall 2 minutes from my house. Im going to go to my first class on Wednesday.
I know I am in the 20 stone region so at least i wont be shocked :-(
But I still hope to do this healthily, Im a real foodie and cant bear the though of a life of low fat ready meals, tinned tuna and crispbreads and no wine.
I know im going to have to cut butter, fat, processed food but like the sound of slimming world for the free foods and quite frankly i need the motivation of a weekly weigh in.
I am hoping to save my sins for weekends. Is this okay? I can go without in the week as im not a snacker at all, so will be happy i hope with a decent healthy three meals a day, but may want a glass or 2 of wine. if i skip the chocolate, crisps, puddings, etc etc then you think i can still lose that way??
Also, if I have a takeaway or fattening dish 1 day a week does it tend to effect your losses? I really love the idea of the 90% time healthy nutritious food and then 10% what you enjoy. I know if i cut out all things i love i wont last 2 minutes!
I am really hoping this way, at a club, will keep me on track.
Will also be keeping a food diary on here so feel free to give me any feedback. good luck in all your new year challenges.
