I want a photo food diary!

So here it is ^.^

Struggling a little today. I'm SO hungover! I couldn't eat more than a bite or so of some leftover sw cottage I made the other day then got to work too late to eat :(
In fact yesterday I barely ate too, few scan brans for breakfast then my lunch was gross cos I tried to be creative :p went for a cheeky wine after work which turned into massive night out so had no tea.. Turned down free McDonald's though :D that's dedication!
So yeah it's just gone midnight and ive just made soup ^_^ its well nice, I've never made one before! I figured keep super free to avoid starvation mode kicking my arse.

It looks gross I know, not the most thrilling start to a photo diary...

Ooh a small introduction I hear you call for? :D
I'm 23 and I live in liverpool :) I started slimming world (in my opinion!) four weeks ago and have lost 10.5 pounds so far. Officially I started two weeks before and have lost 1.5 pounds less cos I never actually followed the diet in the first two weeks and gained 1.5...
There was also about a week and a half in that four weeks that I was off track too so I'm actually really pleased to be where I am now :)
I've set myself a not too unrealistic (I hope) target of losing about 40 pounds over the next three months, so even though I'll still be too big to be comfortable on holiday in a bikini, I know that that kind of weight loss will give me the confidence to not care.

I'm not exercising yet, although I've been a member of the gym for the last month >.< I'm making myself go tomorrow! I've been a bit put off by people saying extra exercise is preventing weight loss but I know that it's not bad at all and speeds you up in the long run. I'm a waitress to so I walk for hours every day and I'm using that as far too much of an excuse too!
I used to be dead skinny and go to the gym for hours every day, I'm so mad at myself for stopping! There was a point where I could eat as much food as I liked, any food, and was constantly losing. Dying for that again!

Rambling now soz :D please feel free to comment here with any suggestions or recipes or just to tell me about your day!

Oh and this is me :)

image-1756963447.jpg

Don't get me wrong, I know this pictures gross, clearly not in a 'begging for compliments' kinda way, but then later when I've made more progress it'll show even better :D

Kay so today I has a banana on my way to work. I really struggle to eat first thing but I was reading yesterday about fruit and yogurts being the best possible option to give you energy and that. Gotta say I really felt the difference between that and say toast or even a massive fry up.

For lunch, around three hours later, I had an apple then this tasty bugger <3

image-2685004709.jpg

A seafood ramen from Wagamama.
Giant bowl filled with veggie stock, noodles, pea shoots, bamboo shoots, seaweed, prawn, squid, dory and kimboko. Im not sure about syns, theoretically it could have zero, but probs not. I doubt more than about 4 or
5 syns though!

I'm just eating my tea.

image-3941321060.jpg

A jacket potato with prawns and home made seafood sauce
(3 syns) and cucumber. That's well not 1/3 super free so I tried to have some leftover soup to start. Turns out its disgusting if you've not been starving for two days.. But I found pineapple I'm munching on now :) might be too full for the yoghurt, maybe have that later :)

I just said no to a spiff :D look who's taking this diet well seriously ^.^

I think youre being really unrealistic with your goal - 40 in 3 months is a VLCD type diet loss, not SW. SW say youll lose about half a stone a month, youre aiming for double that, its highly unlikely. You need to watch that setting such an unrealistic target doesnt become demoralising when youre not achieving it. Youd be better setting a more attainable target - say 21lbs then if you lose more itll feel even better knowing you smashed your goal :) So much of a successful diet is down to your mindset dont let something like that change yours :)

Oh do you think? I figured cos the two weeks I've been on the diet properly I'd done so well that maybe I'd carry on that path. Actually thought 40 was being lenient ha :D
I figured I'd just not hate myself for failing a bit, I'm pretty optimistic ysee, I've set the target for the sake of measuring. My real target is to not go off track majorly, then I'll be able to forgive myself if the numbers don't add up :)

Its very unlikely to be honest, SW say 1/2 lbs a week is the norm, it could be after being off it for 2 weeks, its sort of given you a week 1 loss in week 4.

You dont lose 7lbs a week on a VLCD which is 500kcals a day you certainly wont lose anything like that on a regular basis on SW. Like I said, 7lbs a month is more like it :) Just so long as you dont get disheartened when your losses go back to normal SW ones :)

I completely don't think your being unrealistic, if that's the goal you have set for yourself don't let anyone talk you out of it :)

I lost 41 within the first 12 weeks, I've lost a total of 5 stone 9 since the middle of August! I have had a couple of weeks blip now but I'm 100% back on it, I want to lose 10 stone in total! Hopefully my will power keeps up lol xx

Oh wow that's amazing :D well done! Do you have any good tips? I think we're at an advantage yknow, i assume you're 25-26? We still have our youthful metabolism.
I get what you're saying too, starlight, that makes sense but when I say off diet I mean really off diet. So many take aways and chocolate and stuff, to have stayed the same in that fortnight really shows that I'm hopefully headed to be the exception rather than the rule.
Haha I'm gonna look so silly come July if I've lost like 10lbs :D

If as you say you did eat seriously off plan then that does back up the idea this is like week one again rather than a normal week 4. 7lbs is a week one type loss. I guess your next weigh ins will be the telling

Best of luck

Thanks :) I know you're probably right but I hope you're wrong :D

I need to be a little more thorough, soz =)

Tuesday I Had the wagamama Ramen for breakfast and snacked on half a chocolate dream krispy kreme doughnut
(8 syns)
image-110956193.jpg
For lunch I went to yo sushi! and had the spicy pepper squid
(1.5 syns!)
image-1592492021.jpg
And some free edamame
image-1311626783.jpg

I then made Slimming world KFC for tea!
http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/134193-kfc-chicken-done-sw-way.html
To be honest it tasted nothing like KFC and looked like this:

image-257669572.jpg
But to be fair I did try to use knorr stock pots instead of chicken bovril.. absolute fail! none of the herbs actually stuck.. Will try again in the next day or two ;) I also used around
3 syns as I had no wholemeal breadcrumbs and bought golden ones
Accompanied by mango, grapes and diet orange soda =)

*12.5 SYNS*

Wednesday I had the leftover chicken for breakfast (didn't actually have 7 in one go!)
A little later I had a chocolate orange
alpen light (HEXB)
image-2690304365.jpg

I went to see Steps in the evening
image-3822026086.jpg

I drank around a bottle of wine with a tiny bit of lemonade
(around 30 syns)
image-3376502380.jpg
and had half a burger there (literally no idea how many syns!) but I'm pleased with my drunken control being able to have half despite being starving
I got home and had a
piece of toast (HEXB) with salmon =)

*0 SYNS*

Today:
I had a Jacket potato with
mozarella cheese (HEXA) and beans, and some plums.
image-3293943610.jpg

I then went to weigh in... I've lost four pounds! :D and got slimmer of the week for the second time in a row!

For Tea I made a Turkey stir fry and filled it with superfree veggies. not gonna lie, it wasn't nice at all so I added straight to wok thread fine noodles
(1.5 syns) and it made it more edible. note to self: turkey is awful! I had a satsuma, part of my SOTW prize :D

Friday: check out this for a healthy delicious breakfast on the go!
image-3181197122.jpg
2 bananas, an apple, a plum and two
alpen light bars (hexb)

For dinner I had a chicken teriyaki donburi at Wagamama, except with no sauce.
That's chicken, rice, pea shoots an carrots with a little low sodium soy sauce. And a costa coffee
skinny cappuccino <3 (hexa)
image-649432697.jpgimage-2889502070.jpg

After work got PEER pressured into going for wine with a few managers, we split a bottle of rose so I'm gonna call it a large glass
(9 syns).

Got home and had leftover stir fry for tea :)

Saturday: I was gonna make a full cooked breakfast but failed miserably with planning cooking times :D so I first ate a tesco lighter options Cumberland sausage
(1 syn) with a drop of ketchup (1/2 syn)
image-4089518836.jpg
Followed by my own little creation:
image-1552145635.jpg
That's a portobello mushroom with onions on top, Philadelphia
cheese (hex a) and bacon! And it is GORGEOUS! Accompanied of course by an apple an a plum :)

For lunch, the Wagamama saian soba (I'm calling it at
6 syns)
image-3161537658.jpg
That's a veggie broth with whole wheat noodles (which are actually gorgeous, I thought they'd be nasty like whole wheat rice) bean sprouts, asparagus, mangetout, mushroom, courgette, probably more than that! I asked for it to be cooked in minimum oil, around 5ml. I hadn't realised it contains sesame oil , that's another 5ml. And Wagamama seasoning which I believe is their own style of soy sauce, I'm waiting back to find out exactly what's in it. I had this with edamame and diet coke :)

For tea, someone randomly threw a party in my kitchen >.< so I daren't cook. I had an
alpen light (hexb) and a spliff.. Followed by like 4 mini ritz biscuits (4 syns), half a tin of beans and some ham :D

Hi!

About the above posts.....I think a weight loss of 2lbs a week is quite average! But that's with diet and exercise! So I wish you luck! My weight loss has averaged out about 2lbs a week! Never had a gain or STS but sometimes I have a -0.5lbs and sometimes -3 or -4! But I work out 7-8hours a week and eat all my syns! Plus weight loss depends on your weight! My brother is very large(morbidly obese) and easily looses 7-8lbs a week with no exercise. I could never lose that in a week and that would be unhealthy for me.

Anyway great diary and photos, wag-mamma a favourite of yours?
