Is it possible?

I'm currently 16st 5 I've lost 33lb's, before getting with my now husband and having 2 children (all completed in 3 yrs 7 months) I was comfortable between 11.4 and 11.10 at a size 12. My bmi says my healthy weight range is between 9.6 and 10.4. I really don't think its possible for me to get back down to 11 never mind under 10.4.
Has anyone else lost around the same amount been able to get into their healthy range and maintained it? My initial goal is 12.6 or something then I'd try and get to 11 but I'm not sure if I'm kidding myself x

Well done on losing an incredible amount of weight already!

I did CD many years ago and was 11stone and a nice size 12/14 depending on the clothes. How tall are you? I'm 5' 4. This time I'm looking to get to 10st which should make me a small size 12. However I'm going to wait and see when it comes off ... if at 10.7 I'm happy ... I'll stick there. If at 10st I still don't feel comfortable .. I'll go lower.

As for keeping it off ... for me it is to realise I can NEVER take my eye off the goal. Once at target, I intend to do SW type meals Monday-Friday afternoon ... then not think about it over the weekend. 80/20 rule... 80% of the time be good - 20% of the time you can enjoy without thinking about!

Also I intend to gently build my exercise up ... if you use more calories than you are taking in, you'll lose weight ... so I need to make exercise a part of my life. I'm an exercisephobe - so it has to be stuff I like, swimming, dancing, walking. We are going to start ceroc/salsa classes together - and hopefully we will continue them, so exercise will be there - but fun!

Good luck with the rest ... you've done fantastically already!

Thank you so much, I'm 5ft 4 too, I have the same plan in mind when/if I reach goal. To eat healthy during the week and relax a bit at weekends thank you for your reply x

When I first started my aim was to get to 14 stone, then I got there and was pretty happy with myself but I knew I could go futher so I aimed for 13 stone. After I managed that I still wasn't fully satisfied so I'm now closing in on 12 Stone. Maybe I'll quit then, maybe not. Depends what I think when I look in the mirror.

It's good to set attainable goals for yourself, and mentally I think there's a lot to be said for aiming to lose 2/3 stone rather than 6/7 stone. However, there's no reason you can't set yourself new goals once you've reached your old ones.

Yes, of course you can do it, you are not kidding yourself. Of course you could get to 10 stone. I really dont see a reason why not. I think when we are heavy we think...I will never be small, I will never be 10 stone. I mind being 15.2 and crying on the phone to my friend after being that weight for years, she said....maybe you just need to accept that you wont ever be skinny, it hit me like a tonne of bricks, then my mind started going over the reasons why she thinks that, after all, our bones are all around the same size, the big bone thing is a myth. Its just easier/harder for some ppl to lose. With enough work, no matter how hard I decided I would do it & you can do the same.

Good luck

xxxxxxxxxx

Thank you so much for your reply, I've had a bad weekend food wise, the first in 11 weeks since I had my baby. I'm back on it tomorrow and I WILL do this however long it takes. Thank you x

Good on ya hun. Maybe we can support each other, I was gonna say i've just had a baby too but he's 10 months old. Struggling to get time more than anything to prepare meals, exercise ect. You WILL do it - dont worry!! xxxxxx

Of course, I've been pretty much off plan for over a week, I'm so full of cold and a lot going on at home it's really hard to motivate myself and count calories and propoints etc my official wi is today (used to be a Fri) and my gain was 3lb, however yesterday the gain was only 1lb so I hope its not a true gain. I've been good today used my whole 35 points but I over estimated on my Sunday dinner just to be on the safe side. There's no way I'd be able to stand at mil's and measure out my potato's and meat! I'll have something in a bit I'm getting a little peckish now so I'll prob use up my weeklies at the beginning of the week. good luck for your next wi x

I know this may sound stupid but I also think of my portions in terms of measuring cup sizes. That way if I can't weigh anything I cN pick cup portions and it's still easy to find on mfp
