Hi Everyone
Hope your all having a good weekend. I thought i would start a diary today in an attempt to help me stick to this diet and to vent my thoughts and feelings.
So a bit about me. Im 26 and currently weigh 15st 13lb. I havent always been overweight in fact i was always very healthy as a teenager playing netball and hockey, i maintained a slim figure. The problems began when i went to live in Australia for 18 months with my boyfriend (now husband :D) I basically ate every day like i was on holiday for 18 months so i ballooned from a size 10 to a size 16 (not massive but it gets worse lol) When we returned home we decided to buy a house, got engaged and then starting trying for a baby! When i fell pregnant i was 13st 13lb and the day i gave birth i weighed 16lb exactly. I had a traumatic birth but we had a beautiful little girl. Over the next year i went up to 17st 11lb at my highest. Im not even sure how it happened it was a gradual thing probably due to being tired and not being bothered to cook proper food or do exercise.
Anyway i started Cambridge Diet and lost 1st 8lb but really didnt get on with the flavours and was wretching drinking them. Over the last 6 months i have done weight watchers and slimming world and have lost the same half a stone and gained it back over and over and im fed up of it now.
Me and my husband are wanting to try for another baby but i dont want to do it at this size as i was really depressed at my biggest and took it out on him! :( :eek:
So her i am determined to lose this weight once and for all and go on to have a healthy pregnancy where i dont put loads of weight on and lose the weight i do put on in a healthy way!
I want to lose 5 stone before the end of september ideally and then i am going to follow slimming world once i fall pregnant.
Sorry to waffle on just thought i would share my journey so far.

We're the same age & my birthday is in june too. You sound really motivated! I'm sure you'll be able to do this :). I've not got any kids yet, but I'm engaged and we want to have children at some point in the near future - totally know what you mean about wanting to be a healthy weight when trying to get pregnant.

I love pencils i noticed we are similar starting weights too!
I think its sensible that we are thinking about being more healthy prior to having a baby! I dont regret having my little girl at all i just regret that i didnt address the issues straight away and let it ruin the first few years with her as i havent felt myself for about 3 years!

Anyway today has been a good day but quite hard! Hoping it gets easier soon! Started with the choco crispy shake which was lovely had it with a bit of milk and water but think i put too much in as it was slightly watery! But still yum!
Me and hubby took DD to the swimming baths so that was fun and took my mind off things! Then we did a bit of shopping which was a big mistake as made me hungry lol!
Survived that and have just had the coconut bar which was also nice. Going to have the spicy spaghetti and salad for tea.

Is anyone else having 4 packs a day or are you just having 3? And is there any difference in weight loss? Was working it out and i think theres only 100 calories difference so cant think it would make much difference to weight loss!

Well its safe to say i feel ropey this morning! haha feel like ive been out drinking all night! Only just got up as hubby let me have a sleep in!
Gunna try and get some water down first before i have a shake and hopefully might feel a bit better then! Will be glad when ive got to day 4 approx!
Got to take my little girl for her swimming lesson today and our usual treat after swimming is to get a treat from starbucks so today it will be just my little girls treat and i will stay strong!
Hope u all have a good day the weather is rubbish here its rained non stop for most of the week with no sign of it getting better!

That was me yesterday, felt good asking for a black coffee with ice!

Just had the coconut bar before swimming - it was vile tasted like powder with a dark chocolate covering. Dont think i will be ordering that one again and i usually love coconut! Oh well never mind gunna av the strawberry shake later and the cottage pie!
 
So today hasnt been the worse day ive kept fairly busy so its gone quick! Stuck in the house though because the weather is appalling its rained non stop for 10 days now! Had the strawberry shake for breakfast this is lush and my favourite so far. Then had the chocolate crispy shake i liked this on saturday but wasnt as keen today! And i plan to have the spicy spaghetti with added mushrooms and lettuce and cucumber for tea and save a bar for evening which is when i want chocolate the most!!! :D

Ive decided to split this journey into 8 week chunks this will take me until our first summer break away for the weekend i am going to have the weekend off on this 4 day break but try and be sensible.

Then another 8 weeks to take me to the end of august! Im hoping that each 8 weeks i can lose approximatley 2.5 stone then this would take me to within 1 stone of my target and at this point i will joing weight watchers or slimming world to lose my final weight in order to try for a baby and get my body into some kind of normality.
We are aiming to try at the beginning of October. So this all seems pretty doable to me.

Anyone else got any thoughts on this? Does this seem like a sensible idea. nearly 6 stone seems like such a daunting number so im just looking at losing a stone at a time so i dont get overfaced with it all!

Im in a pretty good mood today just need to make it through evenings as this is the worse time for me!

So today ive had

Breakfast - Strawberry Shake
Dinner - Chocolate crispy shake
Tea - Spicy spaghetti, fry light mushroom, side salad of lettuce cucumber and red peppers
Evening Snack - Chocolate Praline bar

Feeling hungry today but got plenty of stuff to watch on laptop and then early nights for me until ketosis kicks in!

Im usually the kind of person who takes Berocca regularly does anyone know if we can take this or even if i would need this when ketosis kicks in?

Please advise

I'm 26 years old, birthday 9th June. Went from 13 stone to 17 stone during my pregnancy. Also had a horrid birth but now have a beautiful 9 month old little boy. But i'm desperate to loose weight. Before I got pregnanct I did Cambridge and lost 5 stone but now too expensive.

Hope your well, yeah does seem like we have very similiar stories! I am very grateful that ive got a very health little girl but im also mad at myself for not having some control through the pregnancy and gaining a lot of weight! My little girl is 5 and ive only just really started to make progress with it!

Hope your day 1 goes ok im sure you will do fine if youve mastered cambridge before! I must admit the flavours are much nice than CD! Maybe thats just me and the meals such as spaghetti and cottage pie are nice cos i like having something to chew lol!
