Low syn alternitive

I dont know of ny low syn alternative to Parma ham, its pretty low in syns already at 0.5 syns a slice! Personally I would just choose one that has the least fat on.

The cheese wil always be 1 syn per 20 calories as it has no free food in. 45g normal fat mozzarella is a HEXA on any plan, 65g low-fat mozzarella is a HEXB on Green only.

Is parma han really that low? Wow! My favourite recipe is chicken stuffed with pesto and mozzarella wrapped in parma ham served on a bed of pesto and pepper couscous! Will definately be having that now, do you know the sw recipe for green pesto? Xx

Yep, on EE and Red an average Parma ham is 0.5 syns a slice or 3 syns per 100g (on Green nothing in it is free so 1 syn per 20 calories).

Here's a few specific ones if you want to be more accurate:

Co-op, Parma Ham, chilled, 80g pack 2½
Waitrose, Parma Ham, chilled, 100g 3½
Marks & Spencer, Parma Ham, chilled, 100g 1½
Sainsbury's, Taste the Difference Parma Ham, 6 slices, chilled, 12g slice ½
Asda, Extra Special Parma Ham, chilled, 100g 6
Tesco, Finest Parma Ham, chilled, 88g pack 3
Waitrose, Citterio Parma Ham, chilled, 100g 5
Waitrose, Riserva Parma Ham, chilled, 100g 5½

Sorry I dont have a pesto recipe personally but there are some on here, I know HoneyOC made one that I tried, so you might find it if you did a search in her diary. Basically you just have to massively reduce the amount of nuts & oil you put in and bump up the basil, fill it out with rocket or something. Its nothing like the stuff in the jars really but its not too bad. You can use the nuts/oil as a HEX IIRC.
