Low syn Carbonara sauce?

Is there such a thing? I know there is a recipe on the slimming world website but are there any jars of sauce that aren't too bad syn wise (I shop at Tescos mainly). I LOVE carbonara.

I had a bit of a look at shop bought ones but they all seem very high in syns as made with cream.

I make the SW carbonara sauce with eggs and quark and LOVE it, i often knock it up for a lunch. I am a veggie so have never had real carbonara cos of the bacon so had nothing to compare it to. I use Quorn bacon or quorn ham slices instead. and its al FREE then :)

This creamy pasta dish is traditionally high in Syns – our tasty version is still slurpingly delicious and tiny in Syns!

Serves: 4
Syns per serving:
1½ Syn on Original (add 6 Syns if not using wholemeal spaghetti as a Healthy Extra),
3 Syns on Green and 1½ Syns on Extra Easy

4 rashers bacon, all visible fat removed
3 eggs
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
3 tbsp very low fat natural fromage frais
2 level tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Small bunch of chives
397g/14oz cooked spaghetti

1. Roughly chop the bacon and dry fry in a non-stick pan for 2-3 minutes. Set aside

2. Lightly beat the eggs, season to taste and add the fromage frais and 1 tbsp of Parmesan. Chop the chives and add to the mixture, reserving some for garnish.

3. Add the spaghetti and egg mixture to the bacon in the pan and stir gently over a low heat until the egg starts to set.

4. Serve sprinkled with the remaining Parmesan and chives

I am a massive fan of carbonara and used to love the creamy sauces from jars before slimming world...however after having the slimming world one i would never think about having a normal one...give it a go!! It is definately worth it :)

I made my own version a few nights ago. I used half fat philly as one of my HEX and syned an extra portion as I like it creamy. I added Quorn bacon bits, a tablespoon of parmesan (1.5 syns) and lots of black pepper. It was amazing. Didn't taste like it was low fat at all. Next time I will try half philly and half quark.
