Oh - and by the way. I'm a bit concerned about Friday (eating round a friends in the evening - although she's on a diet as well, so hopefully it won't be tooooooo naughty) and Saturday when I'm off to a house warming party. I'd already said I'll take some home-made cheese and jalepeno scones, and feel I should keep my word on this. Gonna be hard to not eat those babies!! I was also going to take a dessert, but not going to do that now as that'd be asking for trouble. Got to think of some scrummy finger food to take along. Help anyone??

On a brighter SW note, I shall be getting some body magic in the morning as I've agreed to do the Wimpole Estate Park Run Wimpole Estate parkrun which I'm already getting a bit nervous about!! EEkk!!

IT'S TOOOOOO HOT!! Coming out of the gym at 9.15pm was like walking into an oven. :(

Aghhh - feeling a bit 'hmmmm' about it all as eating out at a friends tonight. They never disclose what's on the menu til we get there. I do know that it will be chicken or lamb for the main dish. And I know Mel is on a diet, and he is trying to make it nice and healthy for me. Thing is, without asking for the flippin' recipe, how am I supposed to syn it out accurately anyway?? Seems a bit rubbish to use flexi-syns straight away. And then it's Rach's housewarming tomorrow as well. Oh flip!

On a brighter note (possibly), I've decided to go to join a SW group THIS MORNING!! It starts at 9.30am, so am already up and breakfasted.

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs, 1 large apricot
Snack: Crab Sticks (x4) & a persimmon
Lunch: small tin spaghetti hoops with 2 small slices wholemeal toast then 2 BIG gerkins, banana and apricot
Snack: Tomato, cucumber, pepper & crab sticks mixed with tbsp lighter than light mayo (0.5 syns)
Dinner (at Mel & Quinn's FLEXI as agreed with consultant):

I was very proud that I resisted naughty cakes etc at the cafe in Nocutts.
After half hour of cycling to get there I was a bit peckish, but just had diet coke.

Well - I went to join the group. The consultant seems lovely. I weighed more than I'd hoped (10 st 8 lb), and am looking forward to seeing the pounds disappear over the weeks!! I've set my target at 9 st 7 lb, which is the same as my club 10 apparently. The only downside was that the pic in the book gave me a craving for spaghetti hoops on wholemeal toast, so just had that for an early lunch (was going to save my A & B for tonight and the meal). Oh well - perhaps I should just treat tonight a a flexi-meal and say I will do my best. Rach (housewarming tomorrow) just sent a message saying just bring own drinks as nibbles provided, so can forget about making cheese & jalepeno scones at least. Will eat a good lunch (no-syn) before I go to the party and stick to syn on drinks and avoid nibbles. That's my action plan. My social life is such a pain in the syns!!

Well, as suspected, M & Q's idea of low cal / healthy was somewhat different to mine and SW's. I'm so glad my consultant said to do it as a flexi-meal so I can draw a line under it. Got home only to be informed by DB that his parents are coming to Cambridge on Sunday to have lunch with us in the Geldart. FFS!!! Is the world conspiring against me?? At least the Geldart is somewhere I can make some choices, and try to stick to plan, but jeez!! I really wanted to be 100% this week.

Anyway. Enough griping. Life goes on regardless, that's the challenge of SW isn't it. How to make it work.

This morning is the 5k run at Wimpole Hall, so I have 1 hour before my running buddy knocks for me. I don't feel the nned to eat much now, so am having a VFF Activia and large apricot with a coffee for breakfast. I'll take a banana with me for post run, then have turkey and stir fry veg for lunch. i MUST avoid high syn nibbleage at this blooming housewarming party this afternoon. AND not drink too much!!

Wish me luck!

Yay - I did it. Quite slow (but was slowing down for my running buddy as I didn't want to go ahead and risk her giving up). Hopefully will be faster next time. Anyway. I DID IT!

Forgot to take banana, but enjoyed a nice omelette with mushrooms and tomatoes in in and little cheese grilled on top when I got home. Food always tastes so much better when you've worked hard to build up an appetite beforehand :)

I am still here. Saturday went completely to pot due to ridiculous gin consumption. Sunday onwards though I have been angelic, plus exercising like mad. Fingers crossed for weigh in on Friday but Friday and Saturday could well have scuppered me :(

As I'm filling in a paper diary for my consultant I haven't done it on here, but may well resume doing it at some point.

OMG - Best breakfast ever. French toast (HExB Bread dipped in beaten egg, sweetener and cinnamon, then fried in frylight) covered in loads of slices strawberries, then drizzled in raspberry VFF Activia. :D

Quick update...

Lost 1 lb when I went to weigh in. Not spectacular but it is star week, and I didn't start properly with food optimising until the Sunday, so really only seeing the effect of 5 days.

I did Cambridge Parkrun this morning. I wanted to do it in under 35 mins and think that we did (just!!) The times will be put up later today / tomorrow morning so will check. Anyway - we didn't stop AT ALL!! So, I'm really pleased with that. I want to be doing 5k in 30 mins by the end of 2013. Wonder if that's achievable?? (Only if I keep trying I suppose!!) :D

Finally got around to trying Muller Light in the ice cream maker that my friend Mel gave me because she didn't use it. It's brilliant. The Banana and Custard variety is fab with sliced strawberries. MMmmmmmmm!!!!
