Hi Everyone,

I have been calorie counting now for a few weeks and have been using My Fitness Pal as a guideline.. (Ive been on it for ages but only really been trying to use it religiously a few weeks ago.) My username is Pinkemi... Please add me! I could do with some more people telling me to shape up. ;-)

Anyways where I am working at the moment, they dont have a microwave.

Anyone have any ideas for lunchs which aren't a salad or a sandwich?

I'm getting pretty bored of lunches at the moment.

Couscous is easy to make jut add boiling water, mugshots just add water or cup a soup. You could prepare some pasta at home and mix with tuna and sweetcorn.

some philli, ryvita, ham/tuna and maybe salad could be an option too.. The ryvita thins are quite yummy.

I like banana sammiches as well, for something a little different on the sandwich take.

Soup in a thermos flask!

I've had some of those lighter choices pot noodle style things, think they're rotten personally but could be worth a try.

Cup a soup with toast or bread

sometimes if I have a few extra calories I might spoil myself with a pot noodle :p

Toasty bags!!! can't believe i forgot toasty bags!

Ah.. soup in a thermos flask is a VERY good idea. I hadn't thought of that. Means I don't have to rely on a microwave.

I found in Boots (part of their Shapers range) a pot noodle style soup which all you have to do is add water to it... I wanna say its called Tim Tong Soup... or something like that. hehehe

Mug shots I LOVE but I tend to use them as a snack instead of a meal. :-/ My favourite is the spicy ones. :)

Hannata... Not sure about Bannana sandwiches?? lol

I have to have packed lunches, but I deprive myself at lunch since my only option really is salad, carrot sticks etc, but I have a yummy dinner to make up for it. It also means I only eat about 600 calories maximum in the first half of the day.

The tesco 40 calorie chicken noodle soups are good though :)

Couscous is good :) but some curry flavoured oxo cubes to give it a kick!!! And then mix through lots of crunchy salad veg. Mmmmm!!

You can make it with boiling OJ too? Then mix through chopped fruit. Makes an amazing breakfast when you fridge it overnight!!! I'd happily eat that for lunch. Pineapple mango and passionfruit seeds are really yum!!
