Meals Out

Ok its my first anniversary at the end of april. Can anyone recommend foods, meals or places I can go to that will keep me in ketosis?
 
Nando's is good for it. Butterfly chicken & salad from there keeps me in ketosis and its absolutely gorgeous aswell. They also do coke zero there.

But yeah, as for meals in general, green salads & lean meat like chicken and turkey are usually best :)
 
Is that plain butterfly chicken or can I have it piri-piri style?
 
I had it with the sauce yeah, probably a better idea to have it plain... but it didn't do me any harm to have it with the sauce :) I also used salad dressing and hot sauce on my salad too. Its still a very, very decent meal and its quite relatively healthy too. Hardest part is just getting back to the shakes after eating something like that, so be prepared for a bit of a struggle. :p
 
May rethink the meal then, may get hubby to eat in the house, go to casino then to hotel. Thanks hun, at least I know I can eat at a restraurant.
 
If you have a proper Italian family run restaurant near you, they will almost certianly cook whatever fresh food you want. I call up in advance to check they will help me, then send an email. On alizonne, I can only eat veggies and salad at the mo from a list, with some limited to 200grammes total plus a tablespoon of olive oil. I've had success with this really resticted diet, and taking a shake to have as well.

So if you fancy, you may be able to go to a ristorante!

Hi guys......
Well I have to say after aarons post I too braved the butterfly chicken and salad at nandos on Saturday.... I'm still in ketosis and weigh day tomorrow so I'll soon know if it affected my weight loss...... Hope not. :-(.
As some of u may know I've been struggling with the weekends and have been feeling very weak and lightheaded .... Anyway after 75 days of 100% TS I decided it was time for me to have some food (I missed aam week). Long story short and all that but I have to say I was SO proud of myself yesterday as I was straight back to TS and feeling good after my nandos.... The icing on the cake will be a decent weightloss tomorrow.

Ok tonights the night for my meal out, does this sound like I will stay in ketosis

skinless buttefly chicken- 270 kcal, 6 carbs, 5 fat, 51 protein
mixed leaf salad - 20kcal, 3 carbs, 1 fat, 1 carbs
coke zero
and a slim and save praline bar

total

486 kcal, 19 carbs, 10 fat, 54 protein (i will be over by 9 in protein)


feedback would be great.

As far as I'm aware it's only carbs that would kick you out if too high, protein is not a problem.
I have around 60g carb a day and can go upto 65-70 without coming out of Ketosis.
Sounds like a great choice made xx
