Metrocentre

so going to the metrocentre for the day tomorrow. wondering wheres the best places to go and eat? i was thinnking nandos, but my boyfriend is a bit fussy. ive heard theres a place called big lukes that does all sorts of things on a buffet style thing. has anyone been? slimming world friendly?

actually, just took a look at big lukes website. they are big on healthy eating!! menu for the "big lukes classics" at the blue mall includes all sorts for us slimming worlders, it boasts oven baked potatoes, roast chicken breast, boiled rice, corn on the cob, grilled pork loin, and a massive salad bar.

so gonna have a baked potato, corn on the cob, roast chicken and pick of their salad bar, great!! ill ignore all the fatty pizza and potato skins my boyfriend will be eating lol so theres a reccommendation for anybody from the northeast going to the metro

makes me want to go to the metrocentre, my boyfriend wouldn't agree though he thinks its too far to travel.... tut tut lol. I went a couple of times with my Grandma when I was younger

Metrocentre is awesome! hope you had fun! I usually do big lukes too, cause my mates can eat burgers and stuff while i have a potato and salad!

Gosh, Big Lukes sounds like it has changed a lot since I last went! When I went it was all pizza, chips, etc. etc. Not any SW friendly choices at all.

When I go to the Metro I usually go for lunch at the chinese buffet restaurant in the mediterranean village (just up from Big Lukes). I have a huge plate of salad first, then loads of boiled rice with beef in black bean sauce (approx. 5 Syns). Another great option for SW'ers.

Thanks for that, boyfriend loves chinese if we go to boro for the day we used to go to banana leaf and I thought that was out lol never gave the boiled rice/chow meins/ beef in sauce a second thought! Another option for me.

Think I'm going to metro again on monday and liked nandos so much I'm going again. Butterfly chicken 3.5, spicy rice 2.5 salad superfree! Then the frozen yogurt is low syn too so I'm gonna have a field day! Lol
