Hi everyone!

Well...a little bit about me:

I've been battling weight problems for the best part of three decades and have tried every diet going. Yes, many of them have worked but then I get half way through the weightloss part and get bored so have a day or two off...which ends in months off and all the weight gained again.

I did brilliantly on WW pro points last year, losing 3.5 stones very easily, but then got bored and fell off the wagon. So now I've decided to go the quick route and I'm now on Exante, having 3 milkshakes a day.

I'm on my third week now and loving it. The first week I lost 6lbs, which isn't much compared to many of you BUT I had been doing WW for a while and had also had two weeks with two shakes and a meal, so it wasn't a 'proper' first week. In those circumstances 6 lbs is a pretty impressive loss.

I had my second weigh in yesterday and lost 2 lbs. Now I may have only lost 2 lbs on the scales, but last week I tried on a pair of jeans I've not been able to fit into since last summer and they almost did up and though 'another 2 or 3 weeks should do it!' Today I tried them on to see how much closer I was getting and they fit! I'm wearing them now and they're as comfy as anything. So those 2 lbs on the scales really didn't give a true reflection on how well Exante is working for me. And I'm thrilled to bits. So moral of the story is 'stuff the scales! They are monsters!' Lol.

By the way, I love all the shakes and find them so filling. It's fantastic not to have to think about meals (apart from those I have to do for my little lad!) and I really needed a break from eating. For years I'd been saying that I wish there was a pill you could take so you don't have to bother with food but now there's Exante, and I'm loving it.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you. I would say all of you but there seems to be millions of you out there so please forgive me if I confuse people for a while.

Good luck with your weightloss journeys everyone.
xx

Welcome and congratulations with your success so far. It sounds like you've found the right diet for you which really is the key to long term weightloss.
I'm looking forward to seeing your losses over the next few months. Good Luck with rest of your journey :D

Thanks Liz...and look how brilliantly you're doing! I've been reading the forum for a few weeks and so many people, like yourself, have inspired me to go for this. And yes, I think it's the right one for me. I need to get it off once and for all rather than half doing it and giving it up. I'm fine for the first five months or so and then get bored, so I'm hoping this will be it.

Well you should be near enough at your target weight by the 5 months, so hopefully no getting bored this time. ;)

That's what I'm hoping. And we have a little break in Yorkshire planned starting October 1 so that should be perfect. We had a break earlier this month in the Lakes and those caravan mirrors are everywhere and make you look twice the size you are so it was scary. I'm determined not to have to cover the mirrors in October, lol.

5 months are usually fine for me...it's after that I waiver, so should be ok this time <touch wood>.

Well done on your start. You are doing really well. x

I had a sneaky peek this morning and have lost 2.5 lbs since Monday so I'm chuffed with that. Not sure if I'll lose anymore by my weight in next Monday, but it's certainly on the move and I'm feeling so well on the shakes.

I've been doing quite a bit of walking, though it's raining today so we're stuck indoors when we had a nice little nature walk planned. We're lucky enough to live by the sea and we have a coastal park which is all set out for nature. We were going to see how the tadpoles were doing but we're stuck in because it's too humid for waterproofs and too wet to not wear them. Oh well, we need the rain and I'm sure the tadpoles will still be there in the coming days.

So I'll keep myself busy by doing some housework (are we allowed to use that word on here?) and burn of some calories at the same time.

Oooooh I have fond memories of going tadpole hunting when I was a child, the things you forget when responsibilities take over. I'm now wondering if there's anywhere near me that I could take the kids to find some, hmmmm.
Hope you enjoy your day even though you're stuck inside.

I did enjoy it as I got a few cards made and crafting always keeps me quiet.

I remember when I was my son's age (almost 6) and we had a tank of taddies at school and watched them grow into tiny little frogs. It was incredible...and so's my memory as it was the best part of 40 years ago, lol. Hope you find somewhere to take your kids...they all love this sort of stuff, don't they?

We managed to go for our walk along the beach and to the wildlife pond today. Some of the taddies now have tiny little legs at the back. Hope we get to see them as little frogs but they'll probably hop off.

Had another sneaky peek this morning and I'm now down 4 lbs so far this week and I have until Monday morning for my official weigh in. Feeling pretty pleased with the loss.

Sounds like you're going to have a great week's lost. My scales appear to have stuck this week, i'm just hoping I get a whoosh next week.

My scales went on strike last week. Funny how that happens, isn't it? You'll probably have a whopper of a loss next week if they don't start shifting now.

Hiya and welcome Moonie. Fingers crossed the scales will be reading 15 something tomorrow morning. You're doing fabulous :hug99: xx

Thanks Gigglepants and Rebecca. Just had my weigh in and I've lost 6lbs!!!! So you could say I'm a bit happy with that, lol. So that gives me a stone off on Exante, into the 15s AND a total 3 stone loss this year! Yep...I'm a happy bunny. Think I'd better go and get some more jeans in the next size down, lol.

Well done - 3 stone is great, you must be very pleased! :0)

Wow a stone in 3 weeks is fabulous. Congratulations on all of your hard work. :happy096:

Well done on your loss this week ! you are doing fab :) I hope you find some nice jeans but don't spend too much because at this rate you will need another smaller pair in a few weeks xxx

Thank you. I'm thrilled to bits but still have a very long way to go. I lost 3.5 stone last year and put 3 back on, lol. That's never happening again, though!
