Well I'm on my first week of Slimming World, I have 7 stone to lose :sigh: it just seems so daunting! I have tried WW and lost 2 and half stone on it but put it all back on and more...I need to lose weight for my health and my sanity as I am becoming a hermit.

Anyway this is my 3rd day, I struggled yesterday, although I didn't fall off the wagon, I couldn't stop thinking about chocolate crisps or cake!

Today has been better and I made a lovely spaghetti with homemade meatballs and homemade sauce for my tea, and for dinner I had some spicy Moroccan soup, I like the cooking from scratch thing which really helps a lot on Slimming World. I threw in loads of carrots, onions, peppers and mushrooms to pad it out and to make the one third superfree. I feel like I might do it this time....well here's hoping :)
 
Today I have felt as though 'yes, I think I can do it!'

for brekkie I had, bacon (fat trimmed) an egg beans loads of mushrooms and tomatoes on HexB wholemeal bread, that kept me going till lunchtime. I didn't snack once!

dinner I had some Morocccan Chickpea soup I made from a SW recipe book ( i chucked extra veg in it for the sf) and had some fruit and a mullerlight,

had some cherries mid afternoon and then I made braising steak with mounds of veg......full as a gun now!

Gonna enjoy a curly wurly while watching Big Bro, from my syns later on (of which I haven't had any yet).....I think it is better for me to have my syns on a night


I am weeing more than normal and I'm actually having to get up in the night which I have never ever done! This starting the day I started SW....coincidence??

Oh and I've been decorating all day and it's annoying me to death!!
 
Sounds like youre doing really well! I have the same amount as you to lose and it does feel like it's impossible but we'll get there. In 7 weigh ins I've lost 23lb (and one week I gained 2.5lbs) so I'm feeling positive.
The weeing thing is so true! I think it is the fruit and veg being full of water!
Keep posting you're food diary sounds yum :)
 
hi , i joined sw 5 weeks ago and have lost over 10lb. this is after years of yo yo diets , and WW all which didnt work; the thing i like best about sw is how much i can eat and still lose weight.. i have over 3 stone to lose , but what i am doing is i set myself a mini goal of 7 lb in a month , anything i lose over that is a bonus.
And also the extra weeing etc is def down to fruit and veg and the extra water , thats good for you ... and helps with weightloss and reduces water retention too :)
just set a little mini goal like i have and watch that weight melt away .. keep an old pair of jeans you havent worn in ages , try them on when you see the weight dissapearing and you will be delighted with yourself - i found with other diets it was alot of what you cant have , SW lets you have lots of nice yummy treats and still watch the weight come off !! use your syns , dont deprive yourself !! Best of luck - sure we are all in the same boat so its for all of us :)

Thanks for the support! I feel really positive today, I think I have realised that Slimming World makes you eat a lot more healthy really, and thats the key for healthy weight loss! I have been batch making some meals this morning and have so far made a yummy Scotch Broth, and a chicken jalfrezi from a SW recipe book, gonna make a SW chilli this afternoon and freeze them for meals throughout the week.

I have realised to I am really not wanting to snack during the day, I hope it lasts! I think it's because I am filling up on the superfree foods for the one third of the plate, it's been a lightbulb moment! I am definately saving my syns for a night cos thats when I feel more snackish, I've got curly wurlys and fudges in the fridge ready and waiting.
 
Hi there - I had 7 stone to lose when I (re)started in April - I've shifted two stone and there are loads of recipes to keep the chocolate cravings at bay, the velvet crunch crisps are fab at 4 syns a bag...although I try not to buy too many multipacks ... I find it so fard to stop at one the one lol!

Today I seem to have loads of energy! And it feels good! Also have not snacked at all for the 2nd day in a row, all good signs :)

For brekkie today I had 2 poached egg on toast, a massive pile of mushrooms and spoonful of beans

Dinner was a jacket potato, mushroom and tomato omlette and a massive salad, I had a tablespoon of reduced fat ceasar dressing for 1.5 syn on my potato....oh I do miss my Lurpak, I must admit.....then I had a mullerlight

Tea is in the oven now, a chicken breast, wrapped in bacon with the fat trimmed with a laughing cow light cheese triangle inside..(oohh)...and a big pile of veg and some sweetcorn (syned the laughing cow)

So I still have plenty syns for my curly wurly later on. :)


I was just thinking earlier on about how I really have not thought about all the crap I used to eat yesterday or today, where as earlier on in the week I couldn't stop thinking about cake, sweets, crisps etc.......today all I could think 'I don't need those things, I NEED to be at my target!
 
Crisps are one of my downfalls so I have decided not to have any...lol....dunno how long that will last!
I'm ok as long as I don't eat any - I open one packet and the next hing I've eaten a multi-pack of 24 lol!

Anyway today was weigh in day and I lost 3 and half pounds!! Yes I am so chuffed with that!! All the cooking from scratch etc was well worth it. I have started my countdown :woohoo:
 
Went power walking for 40 mins yesterday! It felt good! It didn't feel so good later on in the night or this morning :D, but I still walked to work today and will we power walking every other day, I might even run one day!

Making meatballs and spaghetti for tea, I'm feeling really good about this I think it is gonna go well!
 
Been walking today again, I'm getting to really enjoy it!

Also Hubby took me out for my dinner, we went to a place and I was gonna have gammon, boiled potatoes and veg, great! (i thought) Hubby decided he wanted a pork dinner and that particiular place didn't do it, so we drank up (diet coke) and went to another pub we liked where they did roast dinners and loads of other stuff. They had only changed the menu, no dinners and everything served with chips, not a boiled or jacket potato in sight! As I didn't want to spoil my healthy eating and eat chips we ended up with nothing and I got some crab sticks and a nectarine instead...lol x

As a side note the 2nd pub is usually very busy with people at dinner time, the food was all home cooked, and there was loads of variety, the new menu was chips chips and more chips, and the place was EMPTY...shot themselves in the foot I think!
 
done really well all day but come the night I just wanna eat eveything! I've already had my syns for the day....might have to scoff the slimming world quiche I made for tommorow soon :(

Come on! Giving myself a kick!
