New & looking for some support

Hello :)

I am a 21 year old student. I tried(properly) to lose weight once before in 2011 and I lost 43lbs between August and December by eating between 1200 and 1500 calories a day and exercising for 45 mins 5 or 6 times a week. I maintained that until December of last year. In the last 6 months I put back on 30lbs :( In these 6 months I've done no carb diets for a week 3 times and lost between 7 and 10lbs each time but just gained it all plus more back even quicker
I am back up at 216lbs and so mad that I let that happen. I feel horrible and all my clothes are too small, and I don't want to go and buy size 16 again so I am living in tracksuit pants and only squeeze in to my size 14 jeans when I really have to.
I am doing what I did before - eating 1200 - 1500 calories a day and exercising 6 days a week. 6 days cardio and 3 days strength.
My first goal is to lose the 30lbs that I gained and hopefully then lose another 32lbs to reach my goal weight of 154lbs.

I am looking forward to reading everyone else's stories and progress :)

Hi Juliet, I have to say that i find it quite odd that people seem to think that to lose weight, that they must starve themselves in some way :( and therefore get a few months down the road and of course it gets to them because its such a harsh thing to do, you then stop it and it all comes piling back on :( i say this from the point of view of someone who has done this myself, I have now found what i have come to think as a healthy living and eating option, which is Slimming World :) for the first time in my life i don't feel that i have cut my own throat at the end of the day my stomach is full and my weight is down, I don't have to eat tiny weeny portions but rather, fill myself up and get on with living a more normal and healthy life. ;) good luck with what ever you do end up chosing but remember, you wouldn't do these restrictive diets for more than a few months, you couldn't! they are getting you what you want by taking away what you like. I eat food and lose weight :) Good luck

Hello all:confused:,
I have just started trying to lose weight, I have done so before but only put it all back on again. I am getting married this year on the 23rd August and I would really like to try and lose a significant amount of weight as we have spent a lot of money on photography and videography so i do not want to look over weight in all my pictures, lol. So any help or advice would be much appreciated as I need as much support as possible. I would also like to start Slimming World for that extra bit of support but i'm struggling to take that first step. Can anyone tell me where I should be starting to try and live a healthy life style pretty please!
Thanks
Catherine :)
