New one here, struggling

Hi all...... i found this forum from googling to see if i could find some inspiration to keep me going and oh my have i found it on here, amazing success stories that have just stopped me from putting another hula hoop in my trap.

I'm Amy, having a really bad day and on day 5 and this has been the worse by far.
A little about me...... i was a skinny minnie and had 2 little ones, before i know it im no skinny minny anymore. I know on statistics i dont look that bad but in myself i feel shocking, no confidence anymore and avoid going out and socialising the best i can because i dont feel like me anymore. Anyway im going on holiday in november and this has given me the kick up the backside that i have needed, i have decided that i will shed the extra pounds and do something about it and stop whinging and moaning about it (my husband is sick of hearing me moan about my weight)

So far i have managed while my husband and eldest sat through a Mcdonalds, sat with a water in a restaurant while they all ate a sunday lunch and last night with mouth watering watched friends have a drink and order my fave pizza from dominos..... but today when i have nothing but housework to keep me busy i could just eat ANYTHING!!!!

Oh i joined the gym 3 weeks ago and was wondering when it will be ok for me to go and do a little exercise???
Enough about me im off to read more of your amazing stories and losses xxx

Welcome Amy and well done on getting to day 5 and for resisting temptation!

If you were exercising before starting this diet then it would be okay to do a little exercise...be sure to listen to your body and not over do it.

The advice from Dr Alan Howard who developed the Cambridge Diet and this one..."Do not start a strenuous exercise programme at the same time as you start your diet. (If you are already taking exercise then you may continue it.) Moderate exercise is useful once you start to lose weight, providing that it is approached with caution and not done with excess. Walking or cycling is excellent exercise, but start slowly, and do not overdo it at the beginning." Source: The Cambridge diet by Dr Alan N Howard.

Hope that helps!

Yes thankyou that helps me alot, it means i can head off to the gym tomorrow once the kids are back at school :)
