New Porridge

A Triumph!!

Just had some for my lunch (couldnt wait until tomorrow morning!) And it is great!!

It smells like "normal" porridge when cooking, it even looks like "normal" porridge albeit a little runnier than I would normally eat and it tastes.....wait for it...... LIKE PORRIDGE!! WOOOOO!! It even reminded me a little of creamy rice pudding in taste.

No funny texture, no gritty feeling and no gulping it down trying not to taste or feel it like I did with the old one!

Also, this one is not sweetened I dont think, or if it is, it is very subtle.

Well done S&S!! I'll definately be ordering a bulk of this to have for my brekkie! (but waiting for the mac & cheese and mushroom pasta to be in first) hehehe

So is it loads nicer than the old one? I'm not that keen on it even made into a cookie. Coming to the end of my supply's and I'm left with a few lol.
I've ordered a new one as well as spag Bol and chilli to try out.

Sorry, I did think to take a pic, but our bowls in work are so big it would have looked like an unfairly measly portion. So I didn't take one... Also I ate it now, sorry. Lol

Ok, I just got mine 10 mins ago, and now Im eating it. I added cinnamon, hence the brown tint.

Initial taste without spice and sweetener, is that it has no sugar almost savoury in taste. There are quite a bit oats, and when you chew them, they do not have the powder taste as before.

It almost reminds me of rice pudding.

It tastes more like porridge now, and I prefer it to the old one. I also had Exante porridge yesterday, and I prefer S&S new porridge. The exante one, was much sweeter than the original S&S porridge, but again had that powder taste as an aftertaste.
