Total Solution New starter, hoping to beat the flab into submission

Hi all, im starting Exante tomorrow (28/05/12). i did lighter life 3yrs ago and saw some great weight loss and it changed a lot of things in my life, i felt a happier healthier person, however as part of those changes i met a beautiful girl who i loved/love very much and unfortunately i allowed myself to slowly put the weight back on and the relationship came to an end (although she says not i think it was due in part to the weight gain) i want to feel good about myself again and have been inspired by people on here doing Exante so hoping for good things.

i have also started attending the local gym with my cousin as i did before on lighter life.

i wish to use this forum as a personal diary to both kick me up the bum when im struggling and to hopefully help others

well ill kick start my diary, i started a new job today as well as the diet so its been a looooong day. got pretty hungry at times but i expect that whilst my body is getting used to a lower intake.

i had the chocolate shake for breakfast, whilst it wasn't amazingly chocolaty i thought it was nice and creamy and tasted ok so happy with that, i had the orange choc chip bar for lunch and that was also nice flavour wise although id say a little dry and im just enjoying my mushroom soup now (had to put a little pepper in but its good)

was supposed to go to the gym with my cousin tonight but after not much sleep, new job and new diet i am absolutely shattered so ill go swimming with her tomorrow (if shes still talking to me after bailing)

not sure what to do in regards to start weight as i was 19st 7 before i started last night and 19.4 when i weighed myself today, my weight easily fluctuates 3lbs normally so i dont think its down to the diet after just one day. i guess i should have checked this morning

also anyone know if airwaves gum is allowed/ok to have on this diet, or if not any gum that is (for the purpose of keeping my breath fresh :D)

Hi Ben welcome to exante!

I hate to say no to the chewing gum, it causes your brain to release the hormones required to start your stomach to digest food and when it doesn't get any it makes you hungry along with the chewing action will make you hungry.

If you look up the top there is a section especially for diaries, if you start your diary in there, will save the mods moving the thread! good luck for your journey.

doh i thought this was the diary i started :( cant see anything at the top saying diary

ah i presume its the blog bit.....and bum to the gum! makes sense i guess :)

Some people do chew gum, it's a personal thing I guess. We're not 'allowed' it on exante but some people prefer having a bit of gum to giving in to food cravings or killing people with their death breath!

There are some breath strips that dissolve on your tongue that we can have and here is a link
http://www.amazon.co.uk/NuPhar-Acti...I32Q/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1338240837&sr=8-5

We can also use mouthwash as much as we want to help with the horrible breath/taste in the mouth.
