New to slimming world

I am planning on joining slimming world, I have 8st to lose. Whats the best advice you can give and how do you stick with it
 
Hi welcome to the site I go to class so I know I have to get weighed every week, they key is to make sure you fill up on speed foods so your not hungry keep plenty of nibbles in the fridge homemade dips cooked chicken, I also find setting small targets helps so you have goals to work for but only small steps at a time check in here for a chat or any advice an just enjoy it slimming world is a healthy way of eating not a diet
 
Fill out your food diary. If you have a bad day pull back next day to counteract. Keep going and don't give up. Plan to prepare or prepare to fail!!! Always have food ready that's free/superfree. Put your name down for the challenges. Keep eating and eating the right food (speed etc) -- then after a while the amounts will go down. You will lose anyhow! Cut down on your syns if you are planning a night out etc. Get as much receipes and batch prepare meals if you can. All the best on your journey!! :)
 
I have a similar amount to lose and know it's possible because I lost 6st previously doing SW. Pregnancy scuppered it and I'm back but confident.

I second the small goals bit. Don't look at it as 8st. Think of it as 16 little non food rewards when you lose each half stone. Also milestones like club 10 and the half century are things to aim for.

Before you know it you will be several stone down and well on your way to goal. Good luck!!!
