New To This !

Hi everyone.

Started the Exante Total Solution Last Tuesday (23 July) and am so far finding it OK. Surprisingly I'm not missing food. However, I'm missing pop. I only ever drank diet pop anyway but it's driving me mad. I hate plain water. I've ordered some of the water flavourings. What are peoples opinions on those?

I generally like most of the meal packets. Although I don't like the soups or apple & Cinnamon porridge. bleurgh!

My first weigh in tomorrow. Wish me Luck.

Hey Kirsty, good luck for tomorrow! I really enjoy the blackcurrent drink mix, especially with hot water. Lots of people drink coke zero to curb the water boredom :)
 
Thank-you. I've got a long way to go and never had luck with other diets. This is my first VLCD so keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks for the Coke Zero tip too - that is FANTASTIC news to me :D xx
 
You'll be fine Hun as soon as you get into the habit you'll do great! some other drinks have been tried to, dr pepper zero is another i think. There is a sticky thread in the main forum which lists out what is considered safe, give that a read :)

Hi there, i've been drinking coke zero with about 3 litres of water a day and all has been fine for me still losing weight.
I have also been having a couple of cups a tea in the morning using the vanilla shake as a substitute for milk it tastes really nice.

I have also been having a couple of slices of ham when i feel the need for food, and chicken drumsticks on the days i go to the gym as i feel starving when i come out.

Good luck with your journey, if you feel the need to eat some food just steer well clear of carbs, stick to protein and fats.

If you stick to it the weight will come off.

Week 1 - 10lbs :clap:
Week 2 - 6 lbs

Ahhh thanks both! Really appreciate the advice.

Weighed in today and lost 14lb!!! So chuffed. My husband lost 20lb! Off to a good start. Hope week 2 goes as well as the first :) x

Well done xxgreendayxx keep up the good work try to do some exercise if you can even if it's just 30 mins walking at a brisk pace, and remember the first week you lose more weight because you lose your glycogen stores when you enter ketosis.
I'm on my 4th week now so having some food but I feel really guilty about eating it, I'm still exercising so hopefully will lose a bit or stay the same or at the very worst put on a couple of pounds fingers crossed.:)
 
Uktay001- I did my AAMW last week (wk5 rather than 4) stuck to the no carb 200 kcal, stayed in ketosis and lost 2lb. As long as you stay with in the ketosis foods and kcal limit you should be fine :)
 
Hi, well fourth week over and lost another 2 1/2 lbs i was convinced i had put on a couple of pounds but i lost :happy096:.
I was eating about 1000 cals a day in total but been to the gym a few times and also been out running with the dog.
My extra cals were mainly protein and fats avoiding them carbs like the plague still drinking coke zero and tea with vanilla shake in as substitute for milk.

Thanks waterworks it's nice to see the numbers on the scales going down for a change, just finished my fourth week and i feel great got loads more energy now than when i started. I think at first i was concerned about how few calories i was eating and worried that i might pass out but don't really think about it now as long as i have a bottle of water with me.
