Total Solution New!

Hi! I'm Michelle and I start my Exante Total Solution diet, tomorrow! I received my diet box just over 30 minutes ago. I'm feeling very nervous/excited/scared/worried/uncertain about it all. I have tried many diets before: Weight Watchers (which I did well on until I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, Isobella, now 4) I tried Slimming World...which -just went right over my head- and more recently the Tesco brand slimming shakes which were not for me. I even tried the Biggest Loser powder packs, and they tasted like wet dog. (Not that I have attempted to eat a wet dog -yet-).

I am feeling fairly motivated and I am setting my goal as: 3lb weight loss by the end of next week. I don't want to get my hopes up, I always like to be pleasantly surprised if I end up losing more than I expected *fingers crossed*.

I am lucky to also have the support of my husband who is starting the diet with me, and I think he posted on here somewhere a few days back as, Kevwin. I feel slightly sorry for him right now, he will be starting the diet with 4 nights in a row of 10 hour night shifts. I don't know how he is going to handle it.

I have been reading through the forums a lot and already have a small idea on what I shall be doing with the Exante products.

Shake for breakfast, soup for lunch and bar for dinner with a cup of black coffee and a little bit of the mornings left over shake to stir in. I heard the vanilla one goes nice, not sure about the banana and chocolate, but in for a penny in for a 1lb!

Let's hope this bright mood of mine lasts until the first shake in the morning, as I am sure I will be chewing the arm of the couch by tomorrow night!

TBC :)

Welcome aboard x x and good luck x x

challenge 1- 42lbs for June 20th 42lbs to go

Thank you!

Thank you all! I am sat in bed now and the whole thing is just swirling through my mind as a stare at the Exante box full of sachets! I tried some of their squash earlier, the peach flavour. Not too bad! Tastes slightly salty to me, maybe because I hate salt I dunno! Tastes alright though. I think I will take some pictures every week of myself or every two weeks, so I can watch the progress as well (I hate looking in the mirror right now :/)

The box is a little intimidating isn't it?

I spent about 2 hours today faffing with it, unpacking it, putting it in containers, stacking the bars. Then I shoved it all back into the box and just put a week's worth in a bowl on the side....

Yes it is! I put them all in separate bags when they arrived, then shoved them back in the box, but in a bowl or tub sounds better. My sister-in-law has been trying them and she is losing 5lbs a week, she is slightly bigger than me as well, so I am pleased to hear it is coming off!

Skinny black dress by Christmas, please Santa? :p

Goodluck to everyone else starting tomorrow! No doubt I shall be raving like a loon on here when I am starving.

Well I am now into the second day of the diet, and so far so good! No headaches, no sickness. I drunk 2 litres of water on the first day (Sparkling water) and I tried some blackcurrant Exante powder in sparkling water today, it was very refreshing.

I am now sat in bed after feeling peckish and tempted, so I am far away from the fridge and do not plan on moving from here. I also have 2 litres of water next to me (25p for a 2 litre bottle of water from Tesco, still or sparkling, can't go wrong!)

My mother brought my 4 year old daughter some penguin biscuits over today, and I was very very very tempted to have one. BUT I DIDN'T!!! Though it really is turture that they are there, I want to throw them out, but I don't think that would be very fair on my little one?

My husband is not doing so well on the diet, bless him. Last night he tried his first soup, it was so hot going into the shake container the lid blew off in work and it went -everywhere-. Half of it survived, thankfully. After he had his first few sips of it, he became so ill he had to have a slice of ham *shrug* I don't know if it is because if his IBS or what, but he likes the taste on the soups, they just do not agree with him. He tried another one today with me and he got as far as 4 teaspoons and threw up :( I don't know what to do with him!!

I don't want to force him to stay on this with me, at the same time he does need to lose around 4 stone. I am thinking of letting him stay on the shakes and bars, and cooking something like fish/chicken/steak in the evening with some green veg, at least this way he is still eating healthily and not as much as before, espcially with him walking to work and back (about 6 miles a day). I don't want him having a break down because he is in work, tired, stressed and starving :/

Two days down though and so far so good *fingers crossed*

Has anyone suffered with indigestion from the diet?

Heya!
Glad to hear its going well for you. Today was harder than yesterday I think as I got a bit light headed but boullion sorted me out.

My tummy is a bit... Off. But not quite indigestion. Hope your oh is ok with the soup explosion. I'm still working out how to make the soups as I've used one of those hand whisk things but they are still lumpy. Blugh!

Cheap electric juicer/blender is the way to go with the soups and shakes! The blender is my new best friend :) don't blend the soups for too long though, they get a bit frothy and thick. The Tae Chicken soup is reeeeally nice, and a bar with a cup of black coffee made me feel...bloated? I have been drinking a pint of water with everything I make, so that helps some. I think distraction is the way to go when feeling hungry, I just picked up a book and forgot all about my hunger pangs, like when I painted my nails yesterday.

Sorry you feel light headed :( lots of people have said they had similar side effects, I've never really had a reaction to anything in my life though (apart from healthy food and exercise of course). Maybe just put up your feet and try relax with a distraction if you get too ill? I forgot we could try the bouillion!

I think tomorrow will be harder for me. Hubby is working in the day and I will need something keep myself and daughter occupied on a Sunday during those hungerpang hours.

Just think that the lightheaded phases will pass in another two days, I hope and we will hit the famous 'Ketoses'. From then on its weight loss, binning the baggy clothing and donning the sexy outfits!

I have had a few wobbles so far, this is my 8th day on the diet and it's getting a little hard some times, especially when I smell food or see something yummy, then I sit here getting frustrated and sip on water, getting cranky with my husband.

Good news though! I have lost 12lbs and hubby has lost just over a stone! Also a few inches off my tummy, my trousers are a lot bigger on me and more good news, my periods have come back! (ew I know) They were very very erratic after having the implanon in my arm and I didn't get any, then they came back and I put on weight and they went away again for 3 months, but yesterday they started again! *fingers crossed* it's still a little unsettled, but here's hoping!
