Newbe starting tomorrow!

Hello,
I'm starting my slim and save shakes tomorrow and I'm a bit nervous to be honest, I've tried a bar which wasn't very nice and I had a chocolate shake which was ok but not as nice I thought it would be, I've only ever tried a few Cambridge shakes before which were nice, I kind of thought they'd taste like those. I'm hoping that once I've made it in the proper blender with ice and maybe a bit more water it will taste better. I have other flavours and other bars so hopefully I'll find a few that are nice that I can manage. Ideally I'd like to lose 13stone, that would put my mid in my healthy BMI, but in truth I'd just like to be comfy in my own skin and I won't know when that is until I get there.

Any tips or hints or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Hi flower, good luck in your first day :)

The first couple if days are the worst but once you get through them it is so much easier.

Drink lots of water and have early nights for the first few days until you get your energy back and you will be fine.

Also reading all the diaries on here really helps and is amazing inspiration!
 
Agreed, welcome and good luck hun

Set up a journal and check in when you can, I use the app 99.9% of the time, its so nice and have a quick motivation boost when your lagging!!

Be prepared, have plenty of packs available, water, and go for it. First few days and you will be breezing through :) xx
 
The packs will become more appealing from the 2nd week on, you can spice them up with herbs/spices depends on your taste buds. get the water flavouring they are invaluable.
just think of the chicken/prawns/tuna/eggs you can have on the 3 packs, get imaginative and before you know it, you'll be looking forward to your food,

I'm trying 4 packs to start off with because I am a little worries If i'm allowed a small amount of something, I wouldn't be able stop. Is the app for the iphone? if so i will have to download it, my iphone is surgically attached to me! Definitely going to get some water flavourings, I read on one of the threads about making icelollies with them, which I think is a brilliant idea, I always have icelollies

Welcome to minis, and good luck with S&S! I started 9 weeks ago at 22:11 and a half, and have just reached 19:5 and a half this morning, so 3 stone 6 lost in 9 weeks! It's an amazing plan, and so motivating to see the numbers drop/change so quickly :) x

yes download the app hunny, it is a lifesaver lol (I have been known to update from the work loo on many occasions lol)

Good morning,
Actually i'm not having a good morning, I made a hazelnut shake but it was horrible, so I made a caramel one which was still horrible not as bad so I forced myself to drink it and ended up being sick. So not the best start, got a few other flavours to try but i'm going to try again a bit later as i'm still feeling sick.

When your feeling better have a non shake pack, did you order samples??

Evening all,
I haven't fared any better this afternoon tried another 2 shakes and 3 bars and couldn't finish any of them. So i've had dinner and need to have a rethink about what i'm going to do, I was originally thinking about doing cambridge before being given these shakes so I could still do that but I don't know, thank you for your support for my short stint

Hi Sherrie,know how you feel,7st 4lb to lose myself,its horrible to think about isn't it? I mean I'm basically carrying nearly double what I should weigh.
