*Newbie alert* First day today!

Hi Everyone!

I've been 'lurking' here for a couple of weeks now, reading up on S&S, thought i would give it a go, as so fed up with my weight and yo yo dieting, want to loose the weight for good and keep it off.

Have tried SW & WW, have good intentions but was eating a bit too much on sw i think, lol.. as for ww, I lost interest to be honest. I think the best thing for me is s&s, give me a break from real 'food' for a while. I tried W8 a few years ago,, done a week lost 10lbs and gave up as got fed up with just shakes (I'm not keen on soups) with s&s at least you're allowed certain veg so it will feel like im still eating, (I hope, lol)

So far ive had a bar *yum* have been drinking my water, should think about having a shake in a minute. Funny how you just keep thinking of normal food though isn't it? Or am I the only one? lol (sure i can't be, well hope not)

I want to loose at least a couple of stone before august when I got on holiday, don't want to feel like a beached whale anymore...:(

I noticed there has been quite a few newbies join too, so good luck and I look forward to getting to know you all here..

xx

Hello! I'm on day 1 too. Normal food is scheduled for later, though- I'm having three packs and 100g chicken/200g veg off the family roast today.

Good luck!

Hey ya,

Good luck to you too! Are you going to have the 3 packs per day & the protien meal all the time? I was thinking of doing the 4 packs with the veg, but was thinking earlier on wether to try the 3 with the protien meal... shall see how I feel later, lol.

No, I was intending to have the four packs all the time- but Sunday lunch is a big deal with my rabble and the 100g protein/200g veg is a way I can still be part of that. I think it's only going to be a once-a-week kind of thing.

Welcome! I think it's natural to think about food a lot in the beginning. This is a big change. However, it's also a really good opportunity to get away from your current relationship with food, which most diets don't give you. I spent my first 6 months having 4 packs a day no milk and no veg (I was on a different VLCD at the time). That was a really powerful time for me and was very helpful in sorting my head out. As close to giving up food as you can get and still be healthy.
