Hello! Moving in from lipotrim, looking forward to my first pack arriving tomorrow!
Is it te same as lipotrim, as in no diet drinks? X

You can have coke zero but that's it really. Anything without citric acid should be okay, I know some people drink supermarket own brand cream soda and things which doesn't have it in. Remember to still drink all your water though and have the coke or whatever as an extra X

Coke zero, Dr pepper zero
Perfectly clear apple
Asda diet cream soda
Sparkling water
Tea & coffee

I like to use my milk to make a latte

There is a thread of allowed drinks. A wee search will pull it Xx

Exactly. The more options the better x

Sugar free red bull too!

This isn't allowed!! Contains citric acid (unless the formula has changed, steer clear)

Sugar free red bull definitely has citric acid in, as do ALL of the diet energy drinks that I have seen. I know this because I have it every day. But this is naughty so don't do it!

Oh Lord i have messed up already

I have just started today and so far have drank 1 litre of water with no added sugar lemon diluted drink which obviously has citric acid in it.

I assumed it was ok to have as it was no added sugar.

Im sooooo angry at myself. Messed up already and its only 2pm:cry:

Dont stress hun , now you know you can avoid it Xx

The Red Bull does have citric acid but not a sufficient amount to push me out of ketosis. Also the acidity regulator in coke zero ( and I guess the other drinks) is E331 which is also a citrate. I guess in fairness I am lucky it doesn't knock me out of ketosis or a 16hour night shift would be a whole lot tougher!! :)

Absolutely, stick to the rules especially when new. Xx

Altho with all due respect, just because it doesn't knock you out of ketosis doesn't mean it'll do the same to everyone. This is a newbie asking, therefore we should be responsible and only give them accurate information. Am I right?

Yes you are right, but no need to get funny about it. I have also had any diet drinks all the way through and haven't been knocked out of ketosis either. Although we are recommended to only drink tea, coffee, water etc., people do bend the rules to suit their lifestyles after experimenting as to what works for them. Some people pick on chicken or eggs when they're hungry or add a vegetable that's not on the list. When it comes to the crunch (like it did for me) and people want to gorge on oranges and apples, I think a glass of sugar free squash does far less damage. From my moment of controlled weakness I discovered that it didn't effect ketosis and having such a range of drinks has really helped me stay on plan and reach goal. I cannot be the only person who this applies to and some people may want to experiment, whereas a lot will choose not to, which is fine. But at least they have the choice and knowledge that for someone it didn't effect their losses.

The tone just came across as a little condescending but apologies if this is something that I have mistranslated from writing to reading
