Newbie! Irish girl in Texas...

Hey all,

I'm new and was referred here by a friend I met on a FB group, I'm so thrilled that somewhere like this exists! I

I'm Northern Irish, I've been here in Texas for 3 years now and I discovered Slimming World when we went home a few months ago. I've lost 9.5lbs in 6 or 7 weeks and I'm working on the Extra Easy plan.

I won't lie, it's difficult, we enjoy eating out and with it being so inexpensive here in the states, it's hard. But I'm doing my best!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi

Thanks Pete I've spent the last few hours going back through recipes, it may take days but I've no shortage of inspiration! I'm so excited to have found this forum!

Question, where'd you get the SW award ribbons under your name? I don't have a group locally and I think they'd be great motivation when I get 'down' about my weight loss!

Hiya Icemaiden, in case you haven't figured it out yet - if you joined SW online, each week you're required to enter your current weight on weigh in day.. If you hit an award trigger eg. half a stone you will be congratulated on your success and one of those ribbons will appear in your awards section

They sure do .. i'm signed up and they also have a FB page and we have set up a FB group for members on the web site forum
