I'm new to all this and stupidly I have no idea how to comment or set my profile up as it says access denied.....please help

You won't have access to profile till you have posted 50 times. Also when you post a thread there's different areas you can post and they prefer you to post it in right area if it's wrong don't worry though it's a mistake for example you have posted this in recipes which isn't recipes it's more general sothis would prob go in main first bit if you have. Question or some info about syns post in syn section and so on that's only info I have really pretty newto this too so still trying to get to grips.
