Newbie :)

On day 5 today :) need to lose 6st, so glad I came across this site, as it's so hard to talk to friends and family about this diet as they don't understand, so Its great to speak to others going through the same, don't know what I'm doing or how to comment on anyone's posts but will keep trying hehe, good luck everyone hope you all have a great weekend :) xxx

I'm a newbie too, and funnily enough I'm also on day 5 and aiming for 6 stone loss!

The people on here are so helpful and friendly it's made it alot easier for me already. Tips on what you can and can't drink, how best to get the shakes down, questions on side effects etc. I'm sure as we all go on this journey together you will find this forum a great resource.

Got my first weigh in Tuesday and have woke up this morning v positive, think I'm in ketosis (metallic cotton wool dog breath mouth) and my energy seems to have come back.

Bring it on, we can do this! :) would be great to hear how you get on so keep us posted xx
 
Aw that's great to hear from you, I will keep in touch, my weigh in day is also Tuesday :). How are you finding it so far, I'm finding it ok so far and I don't mind the shakes, wonder how long it will take us to lose 6st, I'm 28 and need to do this I have tried so many diets and always failed, I do find this diet easier as I don't have the temptation of wanting food as I know as each day goes on I have achieved something amazing and don't want to let my self down, meal times can be hard cooking for my family but I'm on day 5 so I've managed it so far, every morning I say to myself I did it yesterday and I can do it today :) keep up the good work xx :)
 
Hi there girls. Im aiming for 6 stone also. My weighin in monday. Like u said i find it easier to cut it all out completely than to cut down i always end up being too heavy handed with portion sizing. Heres to us girls. Felt really crap yest headaches etc but woke up this morning and feel great. We can do this. Xxx
 
We sure can! Totally agree with you both about cutting out rather than down...portion sizes and not eating all day n pigging out at night have always been my downfall! I think that's why this diet suits me, because i'm so used to blocking out hunger pains whilst at work and going all day without eating. My only problem with this is the amount of water you have to drink. I usually don't exceed 1lt a day, which I suppose didn't help me either...so trying to get 3lt down is my biggest struggle!

Got some really good tips off here though and have to admit the shakes are going down without any problems now i put coffee in them, it does make the choc one soooo much more palatable!

Just brewing some peppermint tea to let it go cold really for my afternoon shake of mint choc! Got that tip from here aswell so hopefully it will be nice! I'll have it cold but some people mix it like normal then pop in microwave for 2 mins n have it as a hot choc drink.

I've just started exercising again today, just 30mins steady exercise bike but I feel great for it!

I'm starting at 16st 6 (5' 2") and would like to get to 10 and a half/11 stone as I get married in October and have a size 14 dress to get into!!!!

Do you guys have specific things motivating you?

Aw that's great, I'm struggling with water also, I have rinsed out a 4pint carton of milk and fill it with water everyday and aim to drink that.I mix my shakes with separate water, I really don't want to suffer with headaches and constipation, and so far so good, I am a mum of 4 I'm 28 and married, my best friend is getting married next year and I'm a bridesmaid so I really dont want to be the big one on the pics so this is a big factor in why I'm doing this, plus I hate going out and having to buy size 22 and I look horrible in all my pics, I started day 1 last Tuesday and I weighed 16st 10 I'm 5ft 4 I would really like to get to 10st and that's what I'm aiming for, keep up the good work ladies and keep in touch great to see how every one else is feeling and getting on, I'm sure that all of you here will be a big factor in me succeeding :D xxx

Thanks Hun hope you are also getting on ok, I have really struggled today :( I'm finding it really hard, I just keep thinking would one meal hurt, I'm missing food so much today, but I'm not going to let myself down, I'm not giving in :) I have come to bed early so I don't have the temptation, I hope tomorrow will be different as the last 4 days have been easy xxx
