Hi Everyone,

I started the diet last Friday after a long holiday away. So far I have lost 3lb, but I am underwhelmed and concered I'm not doing it properly??

I've stuck to the allowed list of foods and I haven't had any alcohol etc. I just keep thinking there must be more to it than this? I feel that my weight loss is only down to the fact that I'm not eating three large meals a day (as I did while away) and that I'm back in to my normal routine. I have to say I feel less bloated because I'm not having any carbs. I am currently 9st,10 and I hope to get down to 9stn. Am I being impatient?

How tall are you? Stats may help us ;)

I think when you have more to lose, you lose more? I only lost four lbs in my first/only 4 days of attack.. because I didn't have much to lose generally but more than you are attempting so you are probably doing fine :)! Post menus as well it might help everyone guide you

Oh and attack is mainly water weight to get into ketosis! & for motivation!

Hi DeeCe,

Thanks for your reply! I've written down what I had over the weekend.....oh and I'm 5ft 5inches.

Friday: scrambled eggs for breakfast, plain beef burger at lunch, chicken tikka pieces in the afternoon, prawns for dinner and low fat yoghurt. Teas & Water
Saturday: scrambled eggs for breakfast, chicken drumsticks at lunch, turkey slices to graze on in afternoon, low fat yoghurt, scrambled eggs and three sausages. Teas & water
Sunday: Scrambled eggs and three slices of ham, chicken drumsticks, sausages, yoghurt, turkey slices. Teas and water
Monday: Sausages, moxed grilled kebab, chicken tikka pieces, yoghurt, mini burgers. Teas and water.

If you could give me any advice that would be great!!

Sausages aren't really allowed, especially pork, they contain all sorts of added extras! Chicken Tikka pieces shop bought? They might contain starch etc. Turkey and ham slices could probably have extras which may stall you or stop you losing as some have experiences, some of us however, me included, are fine with them?

also you're about my height so must be a healthy BMI (you're at my target ;) ) which may make it harder to lose because technically you're a healthy weight lol! Just keep at it, it can be frustrating when people have bigger or greater loses but most of the time they have more to lose :D

Hi JTR

Welcome!

I agree with DeeCe but also, where's your oatbran? You need to eat it every day :D
And your burger and kebab, home-made is the only "safe" option

Don't worry, you'll get there and it's well worth-it :D

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all of your replys and advice, it's much appreicated. I finally managed to get hold of some oat bran yesterday and I'm going to try and make some cinnamon pancakes for breakfast tomorrow.

One other question - what do you do when you have social engagements? I'm going to go on to PV this Thursday (I will have done attack for 6 days then) but I know alcohol will be involved on nights out.

Thank You!

depends on what answer you want!!

PV choice is good idea!

alcohol...

strict dukaners : stick to diet coke
laidback dukaners: have a spirit and diet coke (not too many) but prepare for a STS or small gain!

Oh I hadn't even thought about the hangover. That's a very good point. Bye bye red wine!! What's STS???

when I drank my hangover was never that bad, although first time I'd drunk on Dukan was the first time in like 2/3 months!! So two drinks got me drunk LOL it was the carb-fuelled day after the night before that got me, pizza and everything to cure it and not giving a Sh*t lol til my next day weigh in haha!

Jtr, welcome, agree with the above make everything yourself and keep away from prepacked meats when possible. Drink plenty of water and be patient as a wise Dukaneer told me this is a marathon not a sprint, you haven't much to loose but that's not the point you extra weight makes you feel uurrrgghhhh so Dukan will help you shift those exta pounds, if you want an alternative to diet coke and a vodka is slimline tonic water with a splash of whatever what you fancy.... non is better but life does sometimes get it the way of Dukan. Best of luck x
