Ok... The last stone (or so)

Hi! I'm totally new to all this, I've lost just over 5 stone in around a year by being excessively strict, eating very little and going to the gym daily. I'm not at goal yet but I'm looking for a more sustainable way to loose, get to goal and then maintain. I'm vegetarian so slimming world seems to make the most sense. I've been following it for a week from books, planning to join a group next week. I'm struggling to understand how I can eat and loose weight and am terrified I was so rigid before that I'll gain now. However it's important to me that I can keep the weight off- sw seems the best way to do that as I can't stay off carbs, dairy, meat, etc... Forever. I never eat fats, fried Food, dense carbs.
I've found it hard to eat pasta this week and feel really really guilty.
Anyway I'm going to post a diary up here so I'm hoping people will correct me - please if I'm going wrong. I'll largely do green days (but did try some tuna the other day for the first time) I want to loose one stone for sure then see where I'm at.
Although I doubt I'll ever be 'happy' with my size. I have a holiday in about 10 weeks so as much before then would be great!!! But I don't anticipate loosing fast as I've already lost 5st and have an under active thyroid.... Ok well I'll weigh myself Monday then it will have been a week on the plan.... But if I've gained I'm headed back to my 1,200 cals & 1hr exercise
regime. I'm really hoping sw will work for me tho!!

1tbsp el mayo (1 syn)

Sw 'fry light' eggs
Grilled toms
Dr pepper zero.

Any advice GRATEFULLY received !!!

Well done on the weight loss so far! That's fantastic!

I've lost 25lbs on ww! But started slimming world yesterday! So I might not be the best person to tell you if your going wrong but I can offer support!

I'm also going on holiday in about 10 weeks! Where you going?

Turkey we are hoping not exactly sure where yet, planning to book last minute.... Where you off to?

X 2 alpen light bars (b) (plus an hours walk)

Cous cous & salad
Muller ff yog
Snack a jacks (4 syn)

Dinner will be

Jacket potato
Tuna
Sweetcorn
Mayo (1syn) (& ff yog)
& salad.

Maybe a WW jelly later on (1/2 syn)

Didnt use any A choices ....
About 6 syns Used.

It just seems like sooo much food. I'll be amazed if I loose. Weighing myself in the morning-

Looks good to me!

Swapped as I want to cook more, sometimes weighing everything is annoying, most the stuff I eat is free on SW! Then I only have to point the syns! I think SW is aimed more at people who cook from fresh!

I'm going to NewYork, Toronto and Montreal!

You just sticking to green and red days? Or gonna try extra easy too?

Scrap that... thinking about it- I didn't count the tuna.... Hmm so i'll have the syns of my 2 alpen bars (8 syn) and have the tuna as my HB choice.

Ive been reading on here and people seem to have had some massive losses so I guess it must work. Hopefully I'll get used to it quick and then it wont seem so complicated lol. - I just wish it was faster, want to be at goal now!!!

Oh and I had a pear earlier.

Mainly i'll do green days I think, I don't eat meat so they're the ones that suit me best.

You'll be fine, I am doing extra easy and it is extra easy! My HEXB and HEXA will be milk and cereal/porridge pretty much everyday!

So I just have to stick to free food and count my syns!
 
Ok well I lost a pound. I'm a bit disappointed but I promised I'd stick with it if I didn't gain after one week.... And I guess any loss is good.

Melon ff yoghurt & grape nuts for brekkie yum.

Feel like all I've done is eat today :(

Boiled egg, orange and a pear during the day for snacks.

Cous- cous salad for lunch with spinach and broccoli and a ww ff jelly (.5)

Noodles for tea with mushrooms spinach onion and garlic. Maybe a yoghurt after.
 
plodding on....

Today was green...

Yoghurt ff, grape nuts (HE B1) and fruit for brekkie

Salad, quorn fillets plan, SW Coleslaw and boiled eggs for lunch (small) all free/super free

Left overs from yesterday for dinner- Noodles, spinach mushrooms and laughing cow extra light triangles (HE A1)
with salad and more of the largely super free coleslaw.

Then during the day I had a muller light yoghurt, 2 alpen bars (HE B2) and a packet of snack a jacks (3 syns)

I also had an olive...

Really bad day food wize for me if im honest. Spent the whole day wanting food, no idea why. Afraid i'll gain weight... But as far as i can see im following the plan... think maybe im eating too high a volume of food. Need to calm down the snacking, I never did it before im only doing now because im 'allowed' not sure i necessarily want them them. Need to watch portion size too. Hopefully I'll feel better after the first meeting....

Positives; no chocolate, crisps, oils, bread, next to no fat.... so I cant be doing that bad!

first red day....

Yogurt ff fruit and grape nuts (HE B1) for brekkie

x4 rivitas (6 syns) it felt weird using syns for rivitas but needed by HE B2 for dinner.... but also needed something substantial after an hour at the gym plus a 30 min walk

Quorn salad, pear muller light for lunch (free)

dinner- Haddock, boiled new pots (HE B2) mixed vegetables.

I also had another yogurt and a extra light dairylee triangle (Part of HE A1)

Good day really, first meeting tomorrow- Nervous!!!
