Day 1: :sign0144:
Dont know what to put really... just that I have spent too many years of my life trying to lose weight. Actually I have been really successful in the past then always put it all back on.
Out of all the diets I have done in the past Slimming World has been my favourite, what I didnt like about it was that my consultant used to encourage us to eat loads and then when I went to Weight Watchers I couldnt believe how much I was eating on Slimming World and how greedy it made me.
I read a great thread on here which broke down the key principles of slimming world and portion control was mentioned in there, as well as the 1/3 - 2/3 method of extra easy oh and also replacing Hex's for things I thought were similar so I could identify where I was going wrong and why the weight loss had come to a stand still whilst I was doing it.
Also, I now strongly believe it cannot be a diet anymore - it has to be lifestyle change which I can sustain.
I have been going to the gym / classes 3/4 times per week but the exercise alone has not been enough to shift the lbs (although I have deffinately toned up)
So I am not going to join a slimming world class again, i am going to do it alone and hopefully find support along the way by maintaining a diary on here.
I am feeling really positive about this!
