First time ever using a forum.....no idea if this will go anywhere! Does anyone know if Orzo is classed as pasta? Or does it have a syn value?

Ingredients. durum wheat semolina
Nutrition per 75g serving cals 255 carb protein 8.6 carbs 53.0g of which sugars 1.4 fat 10g of which saturates 0.2 fibre 28g sounds a lot what typing this out!

As long as it is dried orzo it is free just as any other dried pasta. What are you planning to make with it?

I sometimes make a very very lazy risotto style dish by boiling the orzo in stock & throwing in whatever veg you have handy, takes very little time compared to the classic rice risotto. It's great for salads too!

They sell it in the Tesco's finest range at the big stores, in Waitrose and at Carluccios (if your near a city, I have to get mine on special trips to Manchester). Its great added to soups and stews to bulk them up or as a pasta salad as its easy to eat with a fork at your desk. M&S do a lovely orzo salad and its only 1 syn on Green or EE and its often on 2 for £3.
