panicking about pie and chips

hey everyone

as our "end of term, bye for the summer" meal, my flatmates and i have decided to go for a meal at the pub down the road which we've been to before (pre SW days) and all absolutely loved

the problem? the only food they serve is pie and chips you can have normal kinds of pie like steak and potato or chicken and leek, or some crazy ones such as bacon double cheeseburger pie, chicken chorizo and bean pie and on sundays you can even have a whole roast dinner in a pie i dread to think what the syn values on that would be!!

anyway i have tried to change our destination to nandos or even an indian but without success so it looks like im gonna have to bite the bullet and just go for it...

so, any ideas how many syns would be in a chicken and leek pie and chips?? luckily the portions are quite small (currently searching for a pic to demonstrate size) but im still very scared about eating it :cry:

aww thank you for the advice Allie you're so wise and sensible! i know im being a bit irrational but i am getting to be a bit of a control freak im planning on having my usual weetabix milk & banana for breakie and then a syn free rainbow salad for lunch to try and limit the damage...

i think this weeks going to be a bit of a write off anyway, big nights out on wednesday and friday

good news! just weighed in and even after the pie and chips ive still lost 2lbs yay me! xx

I thinkm low syns all week and then you'll be fine, but think of the pie and chips or booze. Then make the decision on which you'd prefer.. If you go for the booze, you can always meet them after they've eaten. If you go for the food, then stick to diet coke during it, lo.. Enjoy though, yummy xx

thank you it was yummy! i did try and be extra good in anticipation lol and obviously it worked so im happy as a flat we're quite civilised when it comes to drinking anyway (shock horror - we are students after all lol) as one girl i live with is a strong christian so doesnt drink so i was just on the diet coke anyway thank goodness! you probably dont care but ill attach a picture anyway xx
