Parkin

Hi, does anyone know the rough syn value of Parkin? It's not listed on syns online and there's no nutritional info on the pack! I've bought it anyway as its so yummy and OH will eat most of it but I'd like a little bit but I won't feel guilty if I can syn it!

 

[Minimunchkins]

8oz oatmeal/ medium-sized porridge flakes
4oz plain/all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder or 4 oz self raising/rising flour
4oz moist brown sugar
3oz margarine or butter
8oz golden syrup
1 tablespoon black treacle
1/3 pint milk
1.5 teaspoons ginger, ground


225g/8oz self raising flour
110g/4oz caster sugar
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 egg
200ml/7fl oz milk
55g/2oz butter
110g/4oz golden syrup


Very difficult to say without weights etc but I googled the above - 2 versions. Both made using 8" baking tin . So if no-one else comes back with the answer for you, simply find the syns for each ingredient, add up and divide by ... - the recipes say they serve 4 so if your piece is approx 4" x 4" - just divide by 4
