Playcrackthesky's Diary.

Hey all.

So I've been dieting since the end of June, I started on Lipotrim which was extremely effective at giving me a good kick start (I lost about 2 stone in a month) but after 4 weeks I decided I'd rather do the rest 'on my own'. Initially I just tried to eat healthily without really keeping track of what I was eating and while I avoided all the classic pit falls like cake, chocolate, biscuits etc... but I still wasn't nearly as successful as I would have liked, so after a week I moved on to Calorie Counting using MyFitnessPal and have been doing that for 35 days now. Generally speaking I try to stay under 1000 calories with the odd day going over into 1100/1200. MyFitnessPal says I should have 1420 for a 2lbs a week loss but I have been just fine eating less and would rather just lose weight a bit faster.

As my Diary sort of picks up 2/3rds of the way through I'll just begin from Monday this week.

Starting Weight = 12st11lbs
Starting BMI = 26.3

I'm a man so I think a BMI of between 23 and 25 (11st2lbs and 12st1lb) would look best so that's what I'm aiming for, but we'll see when I get there how I feel about it.

Anyway, on with the Diary.

Monday 3rd September

I worked Sunday night so I spent most of Monday sleeping waking up at 6pm, eating dinner a few hours later and then going back to sleep in the early hours which explains the low calorie intake for the day. I went for a 10km run after I woke up and managed to clock my new best time of 58 minutes which I was suitably pleased with.

Dinner - Homemade Chicken Pasta with Tomato/Chilli sauce - 440 Calories
Snack - Muller Light Yoghurt - 90 Calories

I'm not back in work again until Friday night so I have plenty of time this week to get a lot of exercise in. This continued on Tuesday by running another 10km in a similar time. Thursday 6th September
Last day off before I'm back to work again on Friday night. I went for another run in the morning where I really started to feel the effects of this being my fourth day of exercise in a row and in the evening I went Circuit Training with my friends at the Sports Centre. With that in mind I didn't really have time to cook today so I just had two Sandwiches and some snacks instead.

Calories
Lunch - Tuna Sandwich - 287 Calories.
Dinner - Tuna Sandwich - 287 Calories.
Snack - Apple - 40 Calories, Salt & Vinegar Crisps - 256 Calories

Exercise:
Running - 978 Calories (according to MapMyRun iPhone app)
Circuit Training - 638 (according to MyFitnessPal)

Net Total = -716 Calories.

I weigh myself everyday because I'm sort of obsessive like that and really couldn't bare to wait a week in between. I've done well so far and should be on for a good loss come Monday.

Hi!

Was just reading your diary and you sound so motivated. Great time on the 10k run! X

Friday 7th September
I'm working nights this weekend. A lot of people at work say that nights are really hard and they spend all night snacking but personally I think it's a lot easier than days, especially as we typically eat dinner around 12am-2am so there's a really large amount of time for your body to digest it all until I go to sleep at 9am. First night is definitely the hardest because you're awake for such an unnaturally long time but I managed to resist the takeaway menu unlike the rest of my colleagues. I went for a run before work too which will be my last until Monday, which is probably a good thing as my legs are really starting to ache.

Calories
Lunch - Tuna Sandwich - 287 Calories.
Dinner - 1 1/2 Tuna Sandwichs - 420 Calories.
Snack - Apple - 80 Calories, Muller Light Yoghurt - 90 Calories

Exercise:
Running - 945 Calories (according to MapMyRun iPhone app)

Net Total = -32 Calories.

Filling in this diary every day has made me realise hwo incredibly boring and repititive I am with my food choices. For the third day running I've basically eaten the exact same thing for every meal. What can I say? Tuna Sandwiches just do the business for me time after time.

Calories
Lunch - Tuna Sandwich - 287 Calories.
Dinner - 1 1/2 Tuna Sandwiches - 420 Calories.
Snack - Apple - 80 Calories, Muller Light Yoghurt - 90 Calories

Net Total = 913 Calories.

Sunday 9th September
Sunday is usually the day I eat something slighty more interesting that I would the rest of the week and this week I went to Subway (albeit the most bland and dullest thing you can buy at Subway). Last day of nights tonight so looking forward to getting back to exercise next week as the weight loss is significantly faster when you're able to burn those pounds right off.

Official weigh in day in the morning which I'm looking forward to, hoping for 4-5lbs off.

Calories
Lunch - Ham Sandwich - 275 Calories.
Dinner - 12" Turkey and Ham Sub (No Mayo, No Cheese) - 570 Calories.
Snack - Muller Light Yoghurt - 90 Calories

Net Total = 936 Calories.

Monday 10th September

Dinner - Chicken Enchilades - 778 Calories.

Exercise
Running - 1812 Calories

Net Total = -1034 Calories.
