Porridge

I've just had my first porridge. Enjoyed the taste, added cinnamon which was lovely... It's v runny though! Almost like soup.. Do I have to put 200ml of water in? I'm not expecting it to be exactly the same as normal porridge but was hoping for it to be a bit thicker? Does anyone have any porridge tips? How do you have yours? :)
 
I haven't tried mine yet, I am having one tonight.

Most people seem to be making it with 150mls of water, and leave it a bit longer in the microwave.

i have experimented a lot with the porridge , found the best way for me is - add 1 tablet sweetener , some cinnamon and nutmeg to a jug , add 200 ml boiling water , add the oats and microwave for 30 secs , stir well and microwave another 25 secs .... mmmmmmmm

Will have to try the nutmeg aswell.. The cinnamon was great, had loads of it too ?
So does doing it that way make it thicker?
 
Mmmm porridge sounds yummy, I bought the pack with the soups, shakes and bars so haven't tried the porridge, may need to go and order some

It's nice to have something warm and chewy! Tried 150ml of water, pinch of cinnamon and only 50 secs in microwave and it was fab! Can see myself having 2 a day :)
 
Haven't stopped thinking about the porridge since I read your post. Will defo need to distract myself or order some lol
 
i had my first one last night and it was really runny.going to add less water tonight
 
200 ml is way too much (was still edible!) but more soupy - this mornings was like proper porridge and a fairly decent amount too...
