can any 1 tell me whats different with the new porridge

There are more oat bits. It smells and tastes like actual porridge and it doesn't have that wall paper paste texture.

It's been likened to rice pudding in flavour. It's yum! :)

IT did smell and taste like creamed rice..... however, one put too much water in so it was very runny and exploded like vesuvius in the microwave. LOL.

Well your porridge was like vesuvius Baby C, whilst my first and last attempt to blend the shakes with a hand blender produced a tsunami :)

I've found it to be salty  Anyone else found this? The texture is tons better from the old porridge and it smells of tinned rice pudding but taste wise i don't think the taste is much different from the old one, its the texture that makes it better.

I also found it to be initially salty but then I added some pancake syrup and spice, and it masked the taste. Regarding taste, when I ate it, it did not have the powdery after taste, it tasted like rice pudding not of lumpy power.

Not S&S porridge but I just tried the Exante porridge. I think I made it with a bit too much water but I really liked it, more so than the S&S porridge and I do like that too. Can't wait to try the new S&S porridge.

Pancake syrup? I hope it's a low carb one otherwise you're going to find the carb intake hard to regulate....

Not meaning to sound bad but it's easy to make wee mistakes when you're starting out.

Its Walden Farms pancake syrup, its 0 carb, 0 sugar, 0 fat and 0 calories, according to the label.

You raise a good point though, as American manufacturers are permitted by U.S. law to round down by portion, they only need to get to 0.9g of carbs per serving to be allowed to label it carb free and, as portions sizes are often ridiculously small in order to achieve this, a real portion could contain heaps.

I bought it to mask the S&S original porridge after taste, but with the new one, I will not be needing it.

I also tried the Exante porridge, one day before the new S&S porridge and when sweetened the S&S was better than the Exante one.

The Exante one in my opinion has a better taste and texture, compared to the old S&S porridge.

Am waiting for the mushroom pasta to arrive and then I'm ordering samples including the porridge and mac cheese :)
