Problems when writing replies and editing signatures

Hey all. When I reply to posts or edit my signature it will not let me change my font colour or let me 'enter' to start a new paragraph. It was letting me when I first joined and up to about a week ago. If anyone knows how I can change this I'd be very grateful

I posted the same earlier but thought it was because I switched to using windows 8 today.
See above the box you type in to reply, press the little button that shows a small A/then larger A. That's sorted out the return button thing but dunno about the colour change yet, will go try xx

oops that posted twice... I cant change the colour on my signature at all
