It doesn't really matter about calories. I am also a little confused about ratios

Then book I have says 5% carbs. 65%fat 30% protein.

But for induction I think it is more important to stick to 20g carbs per day and follow all the rules
 
MrsE13 you have it right, the 5/65/30%ages are the Dr Atkins ratios for induction.

This will make your carbs about 25g a day on MFP (it's just their settings) - but don't worry, there's always a little bit of leeway on these things.
