Slimming workd chips

I can't seem to get these right. Every time i make them they are either to soggy or burned, can't get then to just go like a nice chip. Please help?
 
do you heat the tray up first in the oven before adding the chips, and add a good spray of frylight to the chips before putting them back in? I find that crisps them up nicely!x
 
I do use loads of fry light but ive not tried heating up the tray, ill give that a go. Thanks x
 
Yep I cook them the same as roasties, spray the tray then heat up till its red hot and put the chips on and respray again :) xx
 
I used to boil them first but didnt make much of a difference, I use loads of fry light and salt they come out lovely xx
 
I use red rooster or maris piper potatoes, part boil for 5 mins, drain,put back into saucepan & season with your favourite flavour, shake well, spray a shallow tray with frylight, place the chips in a single row on the tray, spray again then cook in a pre-heated oven at 180-200C cook for 10-15 mins remove, turn over then repeat, remove when browned.

Have been making these chips for ages Don't bother with par boiling (but if in a rush do place in microwave !)
But the end results is SO dependent in the potato and this year has not produced good ones!
